Re: decals for rods

You can certainly purchase the equipment to make your own but for the costs of the equipment it's a much wiser investment to just purchase them from a business specializing in such decals. Waterslides are by far the best but have a learning curve. Once you get the hand of it you'll never go back to peel and sticks.

Most of us use http://www.decalconnection.com

They have great prices and great service. Unless you are going get into selling the stickers as a business or you plan on turning out 10 plus rods per month it's much easier to just buy them from here.

Here are some Decal Connection waterslides

Decal Connection also sells blank decal sheets that you can print on from your own computer: http://www.decalconnection.com/make_your_own_decals.htm

If anyone is interested, I can design a custom logo for you and send you a file that you can use to print your own. pm me...

Re: decals for rods

Can any of these decal makers take .jpg/.png/.gif design and print the decals from there?

Reason i ask is that i've designed a logo and its white... my ink jet printer obviously won't print white and the design - while relatively simple - wouldn't be recreateable by the printer.

Using your image (jpg, ping or gif) won't be a problem. It depends on if the specific company can print white ink. Your best bet is to contact them and ask.

One other option if you want to do it yourself, is to not use white but use a very light color like a pale yellow. You will be able to print that on your inkjet printer and it will show up well on a dark background. If you need help converting your white artwork to a pale color pm me.

thedude -

I like your logo. Also, if you provide a black and white logo many companies can print the black or white area with any ink they have available. So you could supply that logo and request any color they carry for the text. I would just call/email around.

Actually, I think it would look sharp in metallic silver or metallic gold, depending on the blank color and how you are trimming your rod. There woud be no background. It would be floating on the blank
