Grateful Dead Rod Split Grip

Just finished up my first rod for a customer. They wanted a Grateful Dead themed split grip rod with the Grateful Dead Tree of Life. Here's what I came up with. What do you think?

Re: Grateful Dead Rod Split Grip

It's a Gander Mountain Competitor Rod. I modified it from a full cork grip. It's actually for one of my employee's husband who doesn't fish that much so she didn't want to buy and expensive rod but wanted something that looked cool.

You know, if the marbeling had "Just a tough of grey"... That would make a Jerry Garcia Grateful Dead rod

Ha... Here husband is a hippy but for some reason plays World of Warcraft.

It was a customization of an existing rod, a Gander Mountain Competitor.

I haven't quite ventured into doing the whole shabang yet. I plan on it in the near future.

Re: Grateful Dead Rod Split Grip

Brian,
You did a very good job on that rod. Completing one from start to finish will be no problem for you.

I agree completely. Great job. You can easily do one from start to finish.
