Resizing Photos With MS Paint

Tackleunderground offers many places to share photos, but we offer a limited amount of space to each user, so resizing your photos is great way of posting more pics while saving your alloted space.
Microsoft Paint is a windows imaging appliation that comes preinstalled on most windows systems. We'll go over the simple steps involved in resizing a photograph for use on the web using this app.

Before continuing, make sure you have the "MS Paint" application.

Step 1 open Microsoft Paint & click the "File" button on the toolbar. Then select "Open" from the dropdown menu.

Step 2 Locate your image, if you dont see it, make sure you have the "File Types" set to "All files".

Step 3 shows a full size image of my lure photo.

Step 4 Now click "Image" then choose the "Stretch/Skew" option.

Step 5 Here you will see the "Stretch/Skew" window. To shrink the photo, give the "stretch" property any percentage under 100%. Make sure the horizontal & vertical percentages both match or you will distort the photo.

Step 6 Here you will see the photo resized.

Step 7 Now you can save it overwriting the original larger photo, or you can save it to a new location by choosing "Save as" & keep both photos, the larger & resized photos.
