Re: Help with COLORS

Just do your best to translate the formula to either do just like their formula, or adapt yours as far as plastic amounts. Most of us have to do that anyway.

Re: Help with COLORS

I find there are just too many variables with a given fromula. Such as amount of salt used, not to mention the size of the crystals used. The larger the crystal the more translucent the bait. Floured salt makes more of an opaque bait.
As a starting point, I use the color amount for a non-salt bait and then add from there.

Re: Help with COLORS

I do some of the same things as 152nd. I try to have a variation of salt and no salt colors that are very close to each other. But if I'm not using my own original formula for a color I always work to addapt it to my basic plastic and salt amounts.

Re: Help with COLORS

Got it..I really appreciate all your help. I will mix em up a bit, I would much rather have my own formula but was trying to get a base to work from. Sounds like some of you have gotten your color down by trial and error. I will do the same,Thanks again!
