Shakeing gallon jugs of plastic is really starting to tear my shoulder up, any of you guys use any mechancal means to shake yours? I am thinking a paint stirer small enough to fit inside that gallon jug on a drill wouldnt do much at all.

por into a larger open mouth container and use a larger paddle on your power drill to stir it up

I don't have any trouble with mine, but thought that maybe you could create a stirrer out of some threaded rod, a couple of nuts and one of those drywall hangers that have two wings on it that open on the backside of the wall. That way you could have it open once inside the jug, and then it would compress when you took it out.

Never created something like this, just a thought.

I know dont use wood to stir. But sence you shake it. Find a wood dowel that the wood grain is consistent for about 2 feet. Cut the lenth you want and cut it in half with a saw about 6 to 8 in. up the dowel. Put the other end in a drill. When you start to run the drill in the plastic. The wood will seperate stirring the plastic. Dont go to small with the dowel use what fits in your drill. If you go to small it will break under the stress. If you find a plastic dowel it would last longer.

I use a drill bit extension in the one gallon jugs.Works just fine.

I use Mf and have no problems with settling. Just shake the jug a few times and pour. I love it.

.....and don't forget the easy pour spout! I rock it back and forth a couple of times in the morning and I'm good for the day.

I use MF plastic as well. I turn my gallon jugs once or twice and I'm good to go. Even in my 55 gallon drum, a few swirls with the pump I pump it out with and I'm good to go. Guess some plastics settle more than others so you just have to see what it takes to get yours right. I've used MF from day one and it works best for me.

i have a 5 gallon with hole drilled in the top with a mortar mixer on a drill, the 5 gallon is in one of those rope handle plastic tubs. i pour the liquid into the 5 gallon from another 5 gallon, then take a paint scraper and scrape the gooey part off the bottom into a pyrex cup with a little of the liquid. i have one of those hand blenders that are 2 speed that cut/suck on the bottom, i blend the gooey stuff smooth, then dump into the 5 gallon and mix with the drill, then pyrex with a funnel back into the gallons to keep up where i pour. sound like a lot but its not bad, i store the gallons upside down wich makes it easier to get the gooey part to use the hand blender next time round. very consistant mixes every time.
