LureCraft Plastic

I recent cracked open 2 new 1 gallon jugs of LC 536 and LC 502. Before opening them I noticed they had a different colored label on them than the previous jug, but didn't think anything of it. While cooking It up I got just a slight plastic smell which I never got from the "old label" plastic. Has LC changed their formula, has anyone else noticed this with the new label plastic or is it just me?

Re: LureCraft Plastic

My last order from Lurecraft had labels that were yellow with green trim instead of the orange trim. Is that what you mean? I bought glitters and powders.

Re: LureCraft Plastic

No, We have not changed a single thing on our plastic. The reason for the change in the labels, was just that - for a change and it matches the color scheme of Poor Boy's. I am not sure why you would have gotten a different smell.

Re: LureCraft Plastic

Clean the microwave out and make sure your cups are clean too. You can get a smell over a prolonged period of time if you have old plastic in there melting and remelting.

i use canola oil to clean my cups, forks and stuff off. it works well and i don't get that strange look from my wife if i am carrying 10 pyrex cups towards the dishwasher
