Are you serious?

How can a guy with 5 posts have the audacity to say we should get back to sharing recipes? I have a problem with your post. It rubbed me the wrong way.

Either you have lurked this forum for a while and failed to contribute, shame on you for that or you are simply new to the site, in that case you should view the sticky about color recipes on top of the forum listings. Your approach seems like you've been here for a while, if that is the case, shame on you for keeping quiet, yet expecting guys to give up coveted info.

If you are new perhaps you should contribute something to make others gain some confidence in you that you are not simply here for a few freebies, only to disappear when you get what you are looking for.

I appologize if my message offends anyone.

ditto...

I don't mean to be rude, but that post rubbed me the wrong way, too. You need to feed the fire some wood before you ask it for more heat. It would be nice to see some of Angler310's fresh ideas...

I think most of us would be more than willing to welcome you with open arms and help you with any questions you might have, but c'mon man, don't you think you should contribute a little before you post something like this?

Maybe I just took your post the wrong way, and if I did I apologize.

Hopefully he is just a newbie like myself, and just not experienced enough to contribute anything of quality yet. I love to hear new stuff, and would love to see it everyday, because I'm all over the internet everyday. I just love to read anything to do with fishing. I will be taking pics and posting when I get my latest saltwater swimbaits molded and poured properly. I'm currently making molds, pouring jigs, and experimenting with different swimbaits.
All that said, his statement does come across a little rude. RR

my appologies

Sorry guys, I had no intentions of getting any one upset or rubbed the wrong direction. Yes I am new to this and I am grateful for all the info that has been supplied. I was looking for more ideas in the cook book. I am also trying to formulate colors and Ideas of my own of which I will be posting pictures of along with the recipes for comments and recommendations. I assure all that I had no intention of getting folks worked up over this.

No hard feelings Mike. I hope the site will help you with your endeavors. I think most guys on this site are more than willing to help whenever they can. I believe the only reason your post was met with negativity is because, once you have done this for awhile, you'll see just how many lurkers exist like earthworm mentioned. It can be very frustrating when we take such great pride in our work. It's sad, but unfortunately true.

That being said, this site is here to help others as well. Welcome to the board and feel free to ask if you have questions.

Chris

Thanks for the feed back

Thanks for the feed back guys. It is my intention to fit in with the group and become a contributor. I have spent countless hours reading and studying all that has already been posted to this wonderful sight. I will make sure that I use discretion when making my posts in the future. Once again I apologize for my offensiveness.
thanks
Mike

hey guys. i've been using this website for a few months now and i feel like i'm one of the people who is only taking and not giving much. what kinds of things are you looking for? i'm mostly looking for help with colors when i can't seem to match them. i have a lot of ideas but have been unable to test them yet because i'm at college. i am a senior studying chemical engineering and am planning on working with plastic and/or rubber after i graduate so i have some ideas on additives and such and plan on posting that info as soon as i get some time to test them.

so, for the regulars - what can someome like me contribute????

Eric

BBC - I personally always like to see pictures. They are pretty insperational at times. I know the photo section is not working (any word on this), but you can still post them here.

Also for anybody just getting into the swing of things, if you learn anything that makes pouring easier for you, please post it. There are countless others probably trying to work through the same things as you.

...just my $.02
