Resin Molds

I just made some fiberglass resin molds. Should I coat the mold cavities with Devcon to aquire the shiny coat on the plastic? just asking since I havent poured into them yet.

Thanks

A little 'worm oil' will provide release and a shine on the finished bait. Some guys are using Pam cooking spray-comes in garlic 'sent' too.

I have tried Devcon on one set of molds with great results. The baits are shiny as can be, but on another set the devcon peeled on me. I dont know why, or what I did differently. I would try it on one mold and see how it works, because the results are worth the risk if it works. If you succeed let us know what you did. I think one of the molds I thinned the devcon with alchohol, but I dont know which one it was. My suspicion is that the thinned version peeled. Good luck
John
