I figure some of us fans need an area to just let loose after such an upsetting game. I've been stewing over this all night. After watching the Patriots get stomped by Miami and probably having a couple too many I can't seem to wonder why Belichick didn't put double coverage on that Ronnie Brown guy. That one single player tore the whole team apart and made the Pats look like a high school team out there. Granted they played like crap but if they stopped that one guy it would have been the other way. After 2 TD's I thought they would have been all over him but nothing. OK I let some out and I hope in two weeks the Patriots will look better and obviously they need this buy week to figure things out. If anyone else needs to vent about there team having a crazy loss let out here and give your wife a break.
Why vent? My home team is the Loins! I could go on and on about Millen is still here btu we all know he won't go until old man Ford dies. At least my 9er's won!

It wasn't just Ronnie Brown that beat you. Ricky Williams ran for almost 100 yds. Pennington only threw 3 incompletions all night. The Pats got their butts kicked in all aspects of the game by the team that was the laughing stock of the NFL last year. I don't mean to rub it in. I'll tell you what.......I still have some Prozac left over from last season if you want them. I'll even pay for the postage!
Yeah sorry about the Lions, not much to say there, but I did here that Bill Ford(the son) would like to make changes and fire the GM. He is only the son but he could have an inffluence on what happens. Also your right about the Pats. They did get beat on all levels and I'm glad they have this weekend off. Good luck this week guys.

Man, he has no say in it even though I wish he did. Him and daddy aren't on speaking terms. The only thing I think that might catch Sr.'s eyes is that Millen got blasted on ESPN last week and then Jr. made that remark and it is all over national TV. The funny thing was that Jr. begged Sr. to hire Millen proclaiming he was a football genius.
We only got a bye week and then Da' Bears before the curse of Bobby Layne is supposed to end. I just hope the h*** it goes out with a bang. Like an owners box collapses or Millen falls and breaks his neck. God, I hate Lions upper management and I am vindictive!
Viva la encenderse Millen!!!

I take all I said above back. MILLEN IS FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOS ANGELES (TICKER) —The Detroit Lions evidently have parted ways with Matt Millen, ending his tumultuous tenure as one of the most maligned sports executives in Motor City history.
The Lions have finally removed the embattled Millen from his post as team president and general manager, FOXSports reported Wednesday.
The web site did not state whether the Lions fired Millen or if the former Pro Bowl linebacker resigned. The Lions have not confirmed or denied the report.
Millen has been the architect of a Lions franchise that has deteriorated into arguably the worst team in the NFL in recent years.
Since Millen’s controversial hiring in 2001, the Lions have posted a league-worst 31-84 record and have endured six seasons with double-digit losses.
Despite winning six of their first eight games last season, the Lions finished with a 7-9 record - their best mark during Millen’s tenure. Detroit has been brutal in losing its first three games this season, leading to renewed calls for Millen’s ouster.
Lions vice chairman Bill Ford Jr., a Ford Motor Company executive chairman and the son of team owner William Clay Ford, made headlines Monday when he publicly commented that he would fire Millen if he had the authority.
I have lived in Michigan all my life.. ( 48 yrs )
But I have been a Minn. Vikings fan for apx. 40 years..
the lions have only won 2 play off games ( I think. ?) in 48 years..
not sure how this happened..
but My grand father was a lions fan
my dad is a Bears fan
My brother is a packer fan
I am a Vikes fan..
we got the whole division covered....
I back my state.. in Hockey,, Baseball,, basket ball, College football.. but NOT the Lions.. sorry guys !!!
Hey, watch what you say buddy! I never said I'm a Loins fan. My team is and always will be the 49er's. At least they got through some of their rebuilding and can actually win a few games. They even look tough this year.
As for the Loins, they have been rebuilding since the late 50's with only 1 playoff victory in 90 or 91, CRS kicking in. What I don't understand is why they could fill the stands during those "rebuilding years". Shouldn't these idiots be in church or fishing on Sunday! I thinks it's because of all the idiots that live here, how else can you explain it. Every year just before preseason all the idiots run around hyping up the Loins. What happens? They win a few preseason games and then flop somewhere in the real season.
Of course you can always blame it on the curse too. It's supposed to end here shortly. I believe the Chicago game is the last game under the curse. Now that Millen and curse are ending, I still can't forsee a team that will win in a long time. It's time for old man FORD to kick the bucket as hard as his feeble old body can take it! At least this would help give the NFC North a somewhat more respectable division. Heck Jr. wants to actually win a game, and I really cannot wait for the chance to let him. There is only a small margin for him to be worse of an owner than his father.
In the long run, I would jump on the bandwagon if they showed a remarkable improvement, like making the playoffs, but will remain laughing on Sunday's until they can field a decent team.
OK My turn!!! First the Dolphins stomp the Patriots last week. Now I dont care for either team, but who could of seen that comming? But then Denver goes and Loses to Kansas City. Again, who cares but, How????? Impossible right??? But now I am really ticked!! My perfect Cowboys go and blow the redskins game!Romo, if I wasnt so fat and slow I would come down there and . Im not even watching monday night football tonight because now I know that Pitsburg will get stomped. The whole NFL is out to get me.
