Aussie wanting web/ecommerce solution

This is for the fellow TU family member's that have a on-line web/store site that has been operating for a while now

i am looking at starting up a web-site and am after feedback from fellow member's here that have been down this road before me

Q.1, I would like to know what web hosting company's/software do you use or are currently using ?

Q.2, What type of service pack from your host/provider arer you currently using ?
eg: Is it just a straight web hosting pack ?
OR
Is the pack you use a e-commerce hosting pack that you are using ?

Q.3 , Would you RECOMMEND your host/provider and if so list and/or tell me your reason's why ?

Q.4 , Are there any site building tools provided by your host/provider and if so what are they and do you choose to use them, also what are these like to navigate and use ?

Q.5 , Did you utilise your host/providers commerce software or did you install your onw onto thier server and if so what commerce software did you choose to install and also what is the softawre like to use/navigate ?

Q.6 , Once you set up the site did you have/was there any shopping cart or check-out trouble's encounted that needed ironing out and if so how did you do it ?

Q.7 , Once unleashed onto the web what did your site proform like for you in the way of sale's generated compared to the ammount of visiting traffic to your site ? - (please be honest , no specific number's i would be happy with a "roundabout that much in sale's and this much in traffic" and some benifital facts )

Q.8 , Another important thing is down time with your host/provider have you encounted any and if so for what period of time, did they give you a warning that this was happening a reasonable time before they did it ?

The reason i ask these question's is that i am looking for a host/provider and package , the trouble i am faced with is finding somebody that's right for me is the problem (have had bad hosting experience before) so basically i am looking/asking for recomendation's before i make any investigation's of my own.

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated
