Tutorial Question

Is there a way that all the Tutorials can be put in one place with out going in to the threads individually, like a page with the list of them

also is there a way that all the tutorials can be made in to a master PDF? with all of them merged in to one file

Cool Re: Tutorial Question

The Member Submitted Tutorials (MSTs) are growing a little more very week or two. Today, there are 49 MSTs. About a month ago, the suggestion to make the MSTs available from the top of the menu bar under "How-To" as well as listing them as an individual forum.

A little history, I think there were about 40 MSTs when I first joined TU. TU had suffered from an ISP that shut off in the middle of the might; all the threads where lost along with the MSTs. With redg8r's help, we where able to find most of the pictures that were in the tutorials. I think there still about a dozen left that could still use pictures added to them.

Getting all the tutorials into a PDF is something that will eventually happen; but I don't see a need to dump it into single file. There are still a surprising number of members that use a dial up connection. They can download a single file or two without problems.

Re: Tutorial Question

Those were lost in the 'great server crash'. I, too, was looking for them. Two possibilities, email original creator, or search out posts by the creator. I've found that the more you read, the more you can visualize what the pictures might show.

Those requests went out several weeks ago. Some members no longer do a certain method that way, in a couple of cases the member is no longer active, it varies. I still think that even without pictures, our tutorials help individuals get an idea of how to do it.

Re: Tutorial Question

Montana,
Don't know how I missed this... No, I'm still hoping that either the member's that wrote them or a member with subject matter knowledge will stand up and take on getting them up and running again.
