web page programs

Hi all, I am looking for any and all info on what programs you guys use for your web pages. I thought I had a program that was gonna work for me but in the end it would not do what I wanted it to do. I need something that will alllow me to add a drop down bar for all my colors and baits( about a dozen baits and 50 colors) I was so close to getting it done! The program we had would only allow about 6 lines in the drop down. I am looking for a program that is not htlm as that is way over my head. I am looking for something that will not cost me a arm and a leg.(well they can have the leg but I need my arm for fishing) any help would be grateful. Thanks again.

add the 6 lined drop-down, then its actually quite easy... open it in notepad and find the text of the colors you entered...
it will look like this:
Code:
<select name=somename ..... >
   <option value="brown" >brown</option>
   <option value="Green" >Green</option>....
...
...
</select>
you can copy one of the option lines, paste it in between the <select> tags and change the color names to the rest of your colors.

otherwise, try a google search on "WYSIWYG" html editors

Re: web page programs

You can also use Paypal to generate that code for you, if you use Paypal. If you get into the Merchant services area of your account, you can generate a paypal Buy It Now button and the add ons, like drop down menus, are on the second page.

Drop me an email if you need help as I use it on my site.

Jim
