Hey,

I was just wondering if any of you OSC guys could reccomend a book/web site with step by step guides to setting up a site with OSC? Obviously it would be great if it came with options such as:If you want your pics to look like this then do this...etc., etc.


Thanks, I find all kinds of sites on OSC, but most are "in order to do [something I don't understand] you need to [something I don't understand], which will [something I don't understand], but first you need to switch [something I don't understand] to [something I don't understand] or else it'll [something I don't understand]!"

Unfortunately, I have yet to find a step by step for osc.

But, start here http://forums.oscommerce.com/ in the upper right hand corner of this page is a link 'Knowledge Base' The knowledge base is a breakdown of the most commonly asked questions for configuring osc. Lots of good info, but you're gonna spend a lot of time reading! I've spent well over 60 hours of doing nothing but reading

Almost any question you have can be answered by using the search feature in the forums. Make sure you use the search properly, ie. if you want to know how to resize pictures for osc, in the search window type in:

+pictures +resize

With over 366,000 posts and almost 40,000 members, this is the largest community I have seen on the net. So needless to say, there's tons of info, but you're gonna have to spend the time to find it.
