help with installation

i need some info on a problem i have , i installed a network card in order to get zoom town durning the instalation a add new hardwre wizard comes up to specify a location( a:\Win9 then press next after i do this it comes back can not locate driver (fast ethernet 10/100 driver disk) please help me

Your network card should've come with a driver disk. If it is a floppy put it in the drive and press continue, if it is a CD-ROM insert the disk and replace the a:\win98 with the drive letter of your CD-ROM.

The network card should have very specific directions as to how the driver is to be loaded, it is probably best to follow them.

Try going to My Computer, putting the disk in the A: drive and then double clicking on the A: drive. This should open up the contents of the floppy disk.

My suspicion is that you need to run the set up file on the floppy drive to get the drivers installed.

You may need to go into the Device Manager to remove the ethernet card and then restart your computer after all that.

Near the end of the install, you may need to put your Windows 98 disk in the CD drive for some files. If you don't have it, let me know and I can tell you what to put in that line to make things work...
