A funny this happened on......

Hello,
A funny thing happened on the trophy page when I tried to post a picture of my first sturgeon. On my computer it looks to me as the picture went over to another page where I have posted some pictures of fishing rods I have built?
It could be one of those days too. :

Pix Fix!

Thanks red-g8r,
Do you mean the fish or the rods? The rod I caught the sturgeon on wasn't a laser rod although they would be very adapt to the fishing we did. My buddy just moved to Idaho this year and kept calling me on the phone telling me that these sturgeons were what he considered my kind of fishing. The sturgeon has to be the most sporting bait oriented fish I have fished and I got that one on a barbless hook. They are very much like catfish in the way they whisker nip sometimes and other times they try to run with the bait. One big difference with the sturgeon is the little mistakes will allow the fish to put its nose under the rocks or toss a hook and the big sturgeons spool light gear, well light ocean gear easily. This was on the Snake and the waters we were fishing get some pressure so they were biting light not to mention the current. My buddy?s rod was the last to come out of the water and I happen to be on top of the rod when the fish bit. I couldn't believe how heavy these fish are and talk about solid bodied. Some people may think they are ugly but if you get a look at the under side of the sturgeons nose the sensory organs make for some cool patterns.
Sturgeon Rock!!!
