brag board

We all spend so much time convincing fish to bite our lures. When that trophy fish takes our bait we have no place to post the pictures.

we need a brag board in this forum. To show are catch

not a monster but fun to catch 24 inches

I lived in Alaska and they get big
I always wanted to know the difference between the halibut and the Atlantic fluke/flounder
We here have the California Halibut (in southern California) and up North they have the Pacific Halibut at about the San Fransisco area all the way to Alaska

The California Halibut tend to be small (up to 5 feet) although I have never seen one that big. It is illegal to take a Halibut under 22"

As for the Pacific Halibut they can get to 8 feet+ Ive only seen them at that size in Alaska
We also have the Sole they look like a Halibut but they don't get bigger than 24" they tend to stay in large schools in deep water
Have a good day
Pete

Re: brag board

On the east coast a 5 lb flounder is a trophy and has no teeth, his cousin the fluke has sharp teeth and could go to 20 lbs.

I know your a little jealous but all you have to do is keep the bait on the bottom and if your as lucky as I am you might get a fish like mine. With practice it will pay off.You might also want to put the plugs away and fish were the big fish live.

Thank you for the comments and just because your wife /girl friend smells like a halibut. That doesn't mean you can mount the fish. There are laws against sex with fish
