Logo and Fonts?

Ok,

I've decided to use my company name as my logo. I've found a font type for download that I really like. My question are this however:

1) Will others be able to see it normally as I have to download this particular font?

2) How do I add a little "TM" and the bottom right corner?

3) How do I save it as other filetypes, and what do I need for printers, websites, embroidery, etc? I'm lost in .jpg, gif, raster, vector, bmp, bitmap, scalable, etc!

4)Thanks!

Clemmy

on webpages? only if they have that same font installed on thier machine (pc). A logo (text or otherwise) should be done with graphic software, paintshop pro is an affordable solution, but there is software available, tailored to logos specifically.

Most print services will want a vector (scalable) format, including embrioiderers who will convert the vector for stitching. Raster images dont scale well but are more suited for web images (gif, bmp,jpg etc.)

hope that helps, if I misunderstood, feel free to elaborate.

1 - If it's just the logo, then I'm gonna sa probably, as it'll eb an image. If it's an unusual font, one most folks won't have, and you want the text to stay that way, then the text needs to be an image.

2 - Dunno, but on my mac, if I hold down the option key, then press 2, I get that symbol, I get the copyright one option c, and the r one option r

3 - Need a little clarification, save as another filetype from what application?

4 - No Problem

Re: Logo and Fonts?

There are HTML codes for most symbols; here is the one for trademark:
™

Here is a website where you can look them up:
