reflective paint

Could someone tell me how to get the reflective look on a spinnerbait head? Special paint? Special top coat or base coat?
Aluminum base--translucent color, metalizer?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Tally

I'm not exactly sure what type of reflective finish you're referring to, but I just add glitter to an overcoat of Devcon 2 ton epoxy. I use Glick brand pearl glitter the most, but have also used other colors, and even mixed colors. I've done this over enamels, powder paint, acrylics & vinyl paint, all with great results.

You do have to rotate whatever you coat, or the epoxy will sag. I use this method on not only spinnerbait heads, but also jig heads, spoons & spinner blades, fly heads and foam or cork popper bodies.

Thanks Jim, but the reflective look I am talking about is like 24k gold or silver, only i would like to do it in a shade of green. I hope I have explained this a little better.

Tally, probably the best way to achieve this is to use nickel plated heads and translucent paint. That should give you the effect you are trying to get. I have tried it and it works good. I have tried using silver paint as a base but the effect is no where near as good.
