Looks like a football head jig to me to. But a hole drilled threw it with a dowel inserted on two sides to stop the lead flow on the head for that cupped look.

Do you think if I purchased a mold I would be able to accomplish this?

You might want to get a custom mold made. Shawn Collins might be able to help you out. I have one of his football jig molds (with a hitchhiker) - excellent mold.

The only way to find out is to take a risk and try it. I would do it with a dremel small hole first from the inside. Then folowing it with a drill press on the out side of the mold. Use metal for the dowels(A bolt cut down in a drill like a lath with a grinder.) The nice thing is if it is off a little you still have your own design and it might work different. The other way would be what ledhed recommends. But you can ruin a lot of molds for the same cost. Good luck I love to modify or cut my own.
Bigger head less weight and all weight is forward leaving the hook tipped up for a strike. A reg. football head sits flat and has no way to make the hook stand up.
