45 degree hook in the flat eye football mold

Has anyone tried these in the new do-it football mold? Looking at the mustad 38108 and 38109. Thanks for any help.

They will fit; the 45 degree bend sits a little lower in the mold than the 60 degree bend.

Is that a mustad 38108 or 38109? How do you like it compaired too 60 degree flat eye that isn't wide gap? Thanks

That is the 38108 flipping hook. Here is the 38109:



I like the wide gap hooks myself, but some people don't. It's a matter of angler preference, so I make both styles.

You can downsize. I use the 3/0 in the smaller ones. Makes the jig more compact. MAV

I got my hooks the other day. Looks like the 3/0 38108 is going to be a little tight ....might be hard to get a complete pour on the collar.
