Jig Hooks

Hello everybody,

I'm new to TU. I am just starting out with making my own bass jigs. I've been having quite a bit of trouble finding good hooks to use. I finally switched to Gamakatsu and they are amazing. However, I want to purchase a new Weedless Bullet jig mold and cannot find any Gamakatsu hooks to fit it. All that I can find heavy enough are Mustads, and those straighten out too easily. I use alot of braid and its needed where I'm pitching these babies. Is that another hook company out there as tough as Gamakatsu that makes a 28 degree bend hook? Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Jig Hooks

He needs a 30 degree eye, Gammie doesn't make one, I find the Mustad hooks acceptable, try the 91768 ewg, I think its a good hook, but I don't use braid just for the reason of bending out hooks!

Re: Jig Hooks

Apparently Gary Yamamoto declined recovering stolen items, so eBay still has 5/0 35* heavy black Gami jig hooks being offered for $15 per 100. Seller Nick seems like a good guy and didn't know they were stolen when he bought from the thieves.
