Hi there, i'm new to TU, and i was just wondering where you guys buy your supplies to make wire baits? I am looking to make buzzbaits, but i have no clue where to buy the stuff from. I live in canada, so anything in canada would be better for shipping cost, but any website will do.
Rico,
Here are a few. There are many, many more. I am slowly building a list of all the places for tacklemaking parts. Once I finish it, I will post it here, for everyone to use as a guide.
Try luremaking.com they have a good selection ,are canadian, prices are canadian etc. There are more state side that are equally as good if not better. Do a search you,ll find them mentioned quite abit in different threads.Barlows,Stamina,Net Craft,Moore,s to name a few.Get a comfortable chair your gone to need it. lol
Hey thanks alot guys! Aslo, i know this might sound a bit stupid, but when i go on luremaking.com, is there a way to add to cart, how do you order the stuff?
I have heard that depending on the size of the order when shipping from the US to Canada, that there is a Value Added Tax (V.A.T.) that made be added to your order by the Canadian government via the postal service. I don't for sure sure, but you may also get hit with the 10% US Federal Excise Tax. I'm not trying to change your mind; rather just open your eyes a little. You may want to see if other Canadian TU members can provide you with some additional information. Just a few mental munchies to chew on with a tall cold one...

Ouch..That's the only thing i dont like, shipping, taxes, all the added stuff, which brings the price higher. I see some prices are not expensive, but then i get hit with the shipping.
Hey S-A-P, i did read it, i did check out stuff there, i had already found the site, but like i said, i have no clue how to order. Almost all the websites have a "Cart" This one does not, can you only order by filling out a form and send it by mail?
Also, i did check out Welcome to Stamina Quality Components On-Line Store and i do like the prices, would cost me about 10$ to make 5 buzzbaits, (that includes the frames with weight and hook all prepared, the blades, the rivets, the beads and the skirts) I beleive that is a good price, considering on the Luremaking.com website, would cost me about 20$. That is true, they are a canadian company, located in ontario, which is a bonus, but ill keep checking around for the best prices. Thanks!
