Need help finding skirt material

I have a jig that is discontinued and i want to make some skirts for my own jigs in the same color and can't find the color i am looking for. I believe it is called peacock green. I will try to post a pic so you could see it, it is the green and black color in the skirt.

You should be able to get that from one of our members at www.fishingskirts.com or from www.livingrubber.com or www.barlowstackle.com. That looks like it might be the glitter scale series. This should get you started.

Talk to Charles at Skirts Unlimited, truth is, I think I have seen either that color green or one very similar to it (snow white green scale 236). If you send your image to them via email and follow up with a phone call, you should be able to compare notes.

The thing I like about Charles is he'll send out samples to make sure the two of your are seeing things eye to eye before you place your order. Good luck.

Re: Need help finding skirt material

It actually looks like a fish scale pattern. Charles doesn't have a color like that but he will make it for you at no extra charge above the tab price. He may be hard to get in touch with the next two weeks. He is going to Vietnam to finish details on a couple of new things we are coming out with. I also looked at my skirts plus catalog and didn't see anything like it. Do you remember the manufacturer?

That color is mean green, one of the best colors that the crawgator came in, too bad they dont sell them anymore. Cajun Tackle out of Pineville, LA made those but they quit selling them and the guy who owns the patent and molds only makes them for himself, relatives, and close friends.

Re: Need help finding skirt material

If you can't find the exact skirt just find the closest color you can and dress it up with a little fly fishing flash material. There are dozens out there in varying textures, patterns, sheen and amount of flash.

Many colors of their materials come in Peacock Green which is very popular because of its multicolor iridescent nature.

Re: Need help finding skirt material

Actually, the color you are refering to is a Skirts Plus color in their Printed series P613 metallic green with black fish scale print...Charles may have it also but, Skirts Plus is who has it for sure. I have some myself. Good luck.

Thanks,
Stephen
