blue glimmer pigment or paint

i want to buy blue glimmer pigment or paint like Hawg Caller uses to paint their spinnerbait heads. I have some glimmer pigment but mine doesn't show up as well as their's. I've tried it in clear epoxy and clear powder but neither looks like what i want. What I have is called interference pigment. Where can I get what they use?

OK, I do not know how I missed this entire post and I am sorry it has taken me awhile to get back to you on this one. What kind of paint are you spraying now? I have no idea what hawgcaller uses, but I like the glimmer blue that I got awhile back called HiPolymer. Its a taxidermy paint which of course means its a laquer. Laquers are great to work with if your not already using them. What degree of transparency are you trying to achieve? You can check out Hi-Polymer at
http://www.vandykestaxidermy.com/ I haven't bought anything from them this year but I think it was $9.00 a quart. I need to get some more myself, that is getting to be a very popular color around here and other places too it seems, JIM

If you have a hard clearcoat on the raw head, you could use a Createx base coat white, followed by one of there chameleon colors (blue, green, gold, etc...). I have done some heads for white flipping jigs that way.

I have no idea what Hawg Caller uses, but have you tried Component Systems http://www.csipaint.com/. They have a product called Electreflect that is semi-transparent.

hawg caller uses automotive paint and is very expensive unless using large amounts. try mixing a light amount of blue in a pearl white.

Hawg Caller uses a three step process to paint their spinnerbait heads. They first powder coat the heads, then spray on the paint colors and then use Imron as a clearcoat. I would say the blue glimmer is mixed in the clearcoat as a final finish. I have some powder I purchased that looks similar to what they use but have not tried it yet. May try some this weekend and let you know how it turns out. They make a beautiful bait but are way to pricey since they were bought out IMHO...
