I use silver leaf and top coat with epoxy. its a lot of work but comes out nice.

I almost always tie to a split ring, helps with lure action. I rarely use a snap, they can come open. And I only direct tie when there is little to no action like with a prop bait where it's all about the props. Direct tie on a crankbait can reduce action.1 point

I just bought some UV Resin off Amazon for $20. little to no odor and works great...need a UV light (also about $20) to cure.1 point

I have used two part epoxy on baits and it seems fine...you also have an option of UV resin.1 point
