  1. I use silver leaf and top coat with epoxy. its a lot of work but comes out nice.

  2. I almost always tie to a split ring, helps with lure action. I rarely use a snap, they can come open. And I only direct tie when there is little to no action like with a prop bait where it's all about the props. Direct tie on a crankbait can reduce action.

  3. I just bought some UV Resin off Amazon for $20. little to no odor and works great...need a UV light (also about $20) to cure.

  4. I have used two part epoxy on baits and it seems fine...you also have an option of UV resin.

  5. Welcome to TU, you might want to use the search feature for this question. by the way I don't know of any top coat that you can apply below freezing.
