  2. All your favorite online vendors have them. I like the Xurons from Barlows for the American made quality. But, all the tackle parts vendors sell them. As do most hardware stores. Just ask for flush cut nippers.

  3. Would thingverse be helpful? I know they have tons of files for 3d printing. I've used a laser cutter to cut out templates, but never tried to do lure bodies. I thought about using a CNC router, but then moved to an office without one. If you can't find what you're looking for, try picking up a knife and carving some, you might find you like it, and it can be a nostalgic connection with past generations. I know I think about my grandpa a lot while I'm making lures.

  4. Tin is actually a bit harder than lead. Especially pure lead. I've noticed this myself when casting with it. But it is rare I use pure tin for much. Being pure tin is so expensive I bought a palmer hot pot just for tin jigs. Thst way I can use 100% of the tin in the pot. In fact that IMHO is about the only reason to use my hot pot. For everything else made with lead or lead alloys my bottom pours and my ladle pots are far superior to the Palmer hot pot.

  5. My guess would be 'no', because if a commercial lure 'hunted', there would be a significant volume of returns and complaints from people who do not understand the benefits of a hunting action. The lures would be deemed as faulty. I remember reading an article on TU, around about 2007, about a particular commercial that was close to hunting. If people bought say ten lures, then a 2 or 3 would have a hunting action. Dave

  6. Used one time! Hagen's Professional Wire Former allows you to produce dozens of wire designs to make all types of spinners, wire leaders, wire snells, spinnerbaits and just about any type of terminal tackle. Designed and constructed for commercial use on wire diameters ranging from .018" to .041", it lets you truly customize your lures to your own exacting standards or build your own creations from scratch. Built of solid anodized machined aluminum, this easy-to-use tool is designed to never fail. For added strength and durability, all points subjected to heavy wear are constructed of heat-treated tool steel. Components for both 1/8" and 3/16" diameter loop options are included. Can be mounted on a bench. Easy to operate right- or left-handed. A great money-saver, it allows you to produce lures at a fraction of the cost of factory-made lures. Plus, you can design them to work best in the conditions you fish. I will use paypal.
