  1. He doesn't use any salt in any of his baits, but I thought he'd be spending just as much (if not more) on softener. That's why he's decided to go the sample route.
  2. Yeah that seems like a bunch. He's decided to buy quarts from other companies to see how they compare.
  3. Well that's the thing. He won't talk to Jeff. LOL. He said the last time he ordered a 10 gallon super soft, it took 3 months to arrive, and this is from Texas to Texas. He got no replies when asking about it. Without slamming MF and causing another outburst, I'll just leave it at that. PM me if you want to know your future with that company.
  4. Thank you, brother. I think we might be in the same ballpark. Now I've gotta do my math and that's never a good thing.
  5. So I just had a texting conversation with an old buddy of mine and he said MF is out of their super soft formula, but they do have a 55-gallon drum of regular. Anyone know how much of the MF brand softener is needed to make it super soft. I used to have notes on this stuff, but that was years ago. I'm guessing a couple quarts, but I could be off. Any help is appreciated. Peace
  6. This is very cool. THANK YOU!! Now I can imagine trying to match some of those colors. No thanks!
  7. Yeah sure does......and those are some awesome colors as well!!
  8. I feel like the 702 is a little thinner, but I could be wrong. I was talking more about color. I think this is as good as it gets!
  9. Not positive because it was on my Facebook feed, but I think Big Bite.
  10. If I could get a custom made aluminum mold delivered to my house in a month, I'd be thrilled!! Anything in stock, now that's a different story.
  11. This is what I think of when I think crawfish.....
  12. I'm not anywhere near Michigan, but welcome to TU!!
  13. I did years ago. Unless things have changed, it was one of the worst plastisols I have ever worked with. Hard packs easily and smoked big time!
  14. A Senko and most stick baits are loaded with salt and other ingredients to get them to sink.
  15. I don't know why I didn't think of this, but as a pest control guy, I get all my liquid chemicals from UPS. Of course, you can clearly hear/feel the liquid in the box. Probably won't with colorant.
  16. Here's a kit I just found on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/JDiction-Silicone-Molds-Making-Manual/dp/B08ZCDT63L/ref=asc_df_B08ZCDT63L/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=663271582232&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17986420754261790022&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031864&hvtargid=pla-2216265738164&mcid=c5fa1f774a0438fb9778e9fb3976d5e4&th=1
  17. Sorry my old eyes missed that, brother!
  18. Back when I did this, I couldn't find anything softer than MF super soft. Don't know why you'd need anything softer than that. But like the others have said, to save your current batch, softener will do the trick.
  19. The post office will ask you if there's anything liquid or hazardous. My only concern would be keeping those little bottles from sloshing around.
  20. A simple one is black top, strawberry red with blue hi-lite bottom But as Jig Man said, there are a few in the cook book that you might like Good luck
  21. I have a bunch of very similar worms, like the trick tails and such, but this exact model is a tough one.
  22. Any pictures of what you're after? Or am I the only one who doesn't know what a cut tail worm is? LOL
  23. Thank you for your service, brother!! Hope you can get the color you're looking for.
  24. +1 Any Zoom with the word "candy" always equals purple glitter mixed with whatever. The disco glitter is something I don't believe was available when I made baits, but I used a bunch of holograph glitter. I think either would work well. That base color (on my monitor anyway) looks to be a light green pumpkin. Looks like a pretty easy single color to make. Peace
  25. Sorry if you misunderstood. It's a free country. If you want to give a company money who just drops off the net for 4 months without any notice to their loyal customers, spend away! For those who have asked me about MF being down......and trust me they have!!.......I say the same thing to all of them: How should I know? I have nothing to do with MF!! Then I proceed to tell those same people who are "in the game" to go elsewhere. There are plenty of other options out there now. Like I said, there were a dozen or so that contacted me regarding this. 8 of them were pissed enough to vow to never give MF their money IF the site comes back up. I would absolutely do the same if I was still "in the game." You all have the right to choose whoever for your products, but I'd be with those 8. Even though I'm not "in the game," I feel for those people who rely on a company like MF to supplement income or even feed their families. Hope this helps. Have a rockin' new year!
