  1. I use several myself. Have not seen where they hang any more than a round bend or wide gap.
  2. I have three different brands and the Bass tackle are the best.
  3. I think its just a smaller profile. I fish with both and can't tell the fish prefer one over the other.
  4. I know you can't do this to a jig but if you have bright shiny tungsten weights, heat until red hot, drop in cold water and you have black weights that never wears off. (They can't have a plastic insert either)
  5. I store my plastic in a five gallon Igloo water cooler. Unscrew the lid and mix it then dispense what I need through the spigot. They make these coolers in smaller sizes as well. https://www.acehardware.com/departments/outdoor-living/coolers/hard-sided-coolers/84243?x429=true&msclkid=6e64983742881b4cc530fa26e5dccd59&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLAs_N4_Outdoor-Living_Coolers_All_Other&utm_term=4581527521796400&utm_content=Outdoor-Living_Coolers_All_Other&gclid=6e64983742881b4cc530fa26e5dccd59&gclsrc=3p.ds
  6. Pretty sure I have the same mold. Even with drop out or smoking it's a little tricky de-molding. I normally grab the sprue with pliers and give it a couple twists and it pops out.
  7. Years ago I painted lots of baits. Really not what I enjoyed compared to making jigs and soft plastics. Guy is wanting me to paint a color I used to paint on 28 baits. Have no idea what to charge per bait since its been 10 years.
  8. What's the going rate for having crankbaits repainted? Nothing special just blue back chartreuse sides.
  9. Any of you guys ordered from BTS lately? Need to add a few cavities of the 702 craw. Just making sure there's no issues with them. Or does anyone have this mold they'd part with?
  10. If you dump them out of the ingot mold before it's cooled enough just about any lead wants to crumble. Try giving it a few minute s longer to cool.
  11. bryanmc Posted yesterday at 05:01 PM If they're all the same, get a 5 gallon bucket with a lid, dump the liquid in, cut the gallon jugs and scrape out the hard pack. Put the hard pack in the 5 gallon bucket with the liquid and use a paint mixer on your drill. +1
  12. O rings work as well if not better. They last much longer without breaking down. I pick them up at a local commercial gasket / hose vender.
  13. I use a single eye hot plate with a frying pan. I can set four Pyrex cups on it. Another little tip; wrap your Pyrex cups with pipe insulation and cover with duct tape. It's microwavable and keeps the plastic warm.
  14. Been a while! Your post got me to thinking, looked back and I joined this site in April 2003. Lots of changes in soft plastics since then.
  15. 5 gallons MF $155.00 + 32.99 shipping. (187.99) 5 gallons Bait Plastics $126.00 no shipping $61.99 is a lot of money for a little guy. Don't take many gallons to justify a vacuum chamber if a person chooses. I really don't have many issues with the BP unless the humidity is high.
  16. I loved MF but the cost plus shipping forced me to swap. No doubt it is the premium of all plastics.
  17. I have very few molds that haven't been modified. Most the Do-It lead molds have too small of a hook for our fish. A dremel tool is what I use.

    Thanksgiving

Our world has changed over the past couple years but we've all got plenty of things to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving1
  19. I have several of Leonard's molds. Every one is top notch.
  20. I found a Baitjunky's.
  21. I think the BJ mold is more in line of what I'm looking for. Was hoping someone had one to get a good review.
  22. Who makes the best 3" bass grub mold? Looking for something similar to the Fat Albert. Just looking at pictures on the internet its hard to tell what a bait really looks like.
