  1. Excellent, Ghost! That is cool..........our stuff has been in Fishing Tackle Retailer a few times....it is so cool to get some national exposure like that! grab your molds, my friend...........the orders are comin! Regards JM www.daimonlures.com
  2. xray lead is the BEST lead I have encountered.........I had about 400 lbs awhile back........loved it. Lead does not absorb radioactivity........that is why it is used....it merely blocks passage of the particles, due to its density. pour away........you will be looking for more when your supply is exhausted! Regards JM www.daimonlures.com www.daimonlures.com/bassreview
  3. some people swear by color, some dont. I have used unpainted plenty, and have caught fish, plenty. It may be a confidence thing for some anglers. I personally think confidence in your presentation is more important than color. remember, most lures are designed to catch fishermen, and not fish. regards jm www.daimonlures.com
  4. alot depends on the hardness of the lead you are using.....soft lead will cut well, and fairly cleanly.......harder lead will not. I will take a file, and knock off excess lead, to flush the surfaces.....it works well. Takes a few extra seconds, but worth the effort. Try cutting when the lead is still warm from pouring....that may help regards JM www.daimonlures.com www.daimonlures.com/bassreview (my blog)
  5. I can do you a football head. drop me an email daimonlures@charter.net regards jm www.daimonlures.com www.daimonlures.com/bassreview

  7. I have a few thousand on hand.......how many are you looking for? let me know, and we will work something out Regards JM www.daimonlures.com www.daimonlures.com/bassreview
  8. A year ago, I stumbled on approx 1500 lbs free for the hauling, and I am still feeding off that, but prior to that, I was paying .30 per lb at a scrapyard...it was not pure, but poured pretty well. Also, visit your local dentist........some of them use the old style bite wing X-ray systems.....they have a thin shield of lead in each one...they may accumulate for you. I get approx 30-40 lbs a year this way, and it is free. Think outside the box regards JM www.daimonlures.com www.daimonlures.com/bassreview
  9. Contact me directly daimonlures@charter.net how many do you need? I have plenty

  13. I am sure there are some guys that read this board that are far more knowledgeable on hooks and manufacturing of same than I am......I do use alot of hooks, and can speak directly to that. I have noticed the changes in Mustad recently......although I have yet to notice any change in performance. Given that China does not have the reputation as a quality shop yet, we may see some degredation in quality soon enough. Truth be known, there are only about 4-5 hook manufacturers in the world, and they make all of the different hooks you see. The only real difference, I think, is the quality of the steel that is used. as for the chinese recalls.......I find it astonishing that the American companies, such as Mattel, do not have consistent standards for their subcontractors.....I am a vet of the automotive industry, and I know from experience that the auto companies DEMANd accountability from the supply chain, in terms of material certifications, etc for all of their critical products, so I am somewhat concerned about the lack of control on overseas manufacturers. I think this is probably the crack in the armor of low-cost manufacturing, in the long run. Anyway.......I will get off MY soapbox, too! regards JM www.daimonlures.com
  14. We did a video awhile back on wacky rigging...you can see it here: http://www.daimonlures.com/wackyrigtank.wmv Pretty basic, but there are some good tips in there. Other videos are also on the site. Hope this helps regards JM www.daimonlures.com
  15. IMHO, no I sell ALOT of Mustads, and a few gammies.....most guys are ok with Mustad. If you do upgrade, make sure that your customers are fully aware of the Gammie thing, and the correspondingly higher price for your products. Some guys are die-hard gammie, and that is ok......I use them myself in certain products, but overall.....mustad has been good to us hope this helps JM www.daimonlures.com
