  1. Hi guys i think i might need a little help. I am moving home tomorrow after 3 long years in the army. And i need to get my boat going. I have a 1976 mercury 65 horse motor and need to replace the water pump and rebuild the carbs. I think i have the tools and knowledge. I was a mechanic for 4 years before the army but that was cars. Please PM me if you can help. Many thanks.
  2. You need more psi. Go to lowes and buy you a compbell, hausfeld iron force only like 100.00 and it will rock anything you can throw at it. Might be a little noise for you, but it works fine for me.
  3. I would say if you got 6,000 pours out of one mold it did its job.
  4. Anyone interested in going in on some manns minus 1 clear unpainted baits? I can get them for 2.50 each but you have to get 150 of them. I only want about 50 or some. Any takers?
  5. If i have to re coat mine i let them dry till i can handle them. There is no need to wait 24 hours in my opinion. If they are small and i mean small imperfections let the epoxy set up for about 30 min or so and lick your finger and gently smooth over the imperfection (like you are wax it with your finger. Anyway's a surefire way is to just wait until you can handle the bait and re coat. Or you can let it cure and sand a little and re coat. I have done it all and everything works for me so far. You are just going to have to see what you like, there are some ideas. Need anymore help PM me.
  6. The only problem with that rob is that some times I don't have the lips on the first time I spin them, only giving me the back and lower hook hangers. As for the exacto knife where do you just get the handles if you can? I looked at walmart and they were 3.00. I can buy the little vise grips for 1.88 and they are the strongest. When I get home I am going to do some wheels out of meta l and tack weld the vise grips on.
  7. What are you guys using on your drying wheels to hold the bait. My alligator clips work fine if the bait has a lip. I know about using a screw but some of the baits are plastic. I need something good and strong like small vise grips. Only cheaper and lighter. Thanks in advance.[/b]
  8. I use vinyl and can throw it on rocks all day and no chips here. I thought the powder was the way to go are you curing it? And yes you can use it with an airbrush you just need there retarded thinner. Need any help PM me.
  9. What about the foam lures some of us make on here. Is that being illegal? And what do you do when a customer wants you to paint a copy of someone else's bait? I would like to post a pic of one that i did but i dont want anyone calling me out. Was going to get the rubber to make better molds out of but if it is illegal.... Many thanks to all that are on this site, you truly make this site great. THANK YOU
  10. Hey dlaery do you mind sharing what it is called. Would it be good for jigs and spinnerbaits? Many thanks
  11. So you are powder painting? I did not think you needed a topcoat..
  12. Not sure but i think skirts plus makes them, becuase i called them and they say they can only sell the skirts to terminator... Hope that helps
  13. I love it!! What are the wings made from?
  14. Dont know if fish see the same as us but red is the first color to go under water!! That is why i like using red fishing line, or it can make the hooks harder to see, if thats your thing. . But red hooks do sell more baits.. Anyways this is only my opinion.
