  1. I use clear goo hydro most of the time. Easy and fast with uv cure light.
  2. I catch all kinds of white bass in the winter time on regular A-rigs. Sometimes two at a time. I have also caught crappie on them but not very often. I am usually fishing 3" paddle tail grubs on them. They are the Zoom paddletails swimming grubs.
  3. I do not use any pins. I powder paint the jig head and cure in the oven. I then place a drill bit the same size as the hole diameter into my variable speed dremel. I hold the cured jig in my left hand and the drill bit at the lowest rpm and apply a little pressure. The drill bit proceeds to follow the hole to the bottom and cleanly remove the cured paint from the weed guard hole.Works like a charm. Just did about 100 crappie jigs with the Do-it F9 weed guard last night. It has a 1/16" base diameter and so I used a 1/16 drill bit. I found that you have to do this after you cure the paint. If you do it before you chip a lot of paint off on the jig surface.
  4. I agree with Cadman. Roto-metals will take good care of your needs. I have bought lead and tin from them and very happy with the products and service.
  5. I fish silver, nickle and gold almost all year here on Kentucky lake. I build and paint all my spinner baits, jigs and spoons.I have experimented with many painted blades including the newer candy colors. The nickle and gold seems to out preform painted blades most of the year for me. The exception is Sept., Oct and Nov.when a double white willow leaf and white skirt will get far more action. Do not know why but have seen it happen for probably 15 years now. War Eagle makes one they call Cole Slaw which is the color pattern I am referring to. My two cents worth.
  6. Is there any advantage to appling the UV Blast powder paint to jigs that have been coated with the fluroscent colors like yellow chartreuse? I coated some white jigs with it and they glowed under a blacklight. I also looked at jigs that were coated with yellow chartreuse and no UV Blast and they also shined brightly under the black light. Any thoughts on this topic.
  7. Smalljaw, thanks for the reply and the advice. Will try it tomorrow and see how it goes.
  8. I too tried the smoke powder paint for the first time yesterday. I coated some test jigs and after coating they looked like black paint . I then placed them in my oven @ 350 for 20 min. They still came out black. My experience is different than yours. Got mine from T J's Tackle. I don't know what to think now. Any ideas?

I have again tried to place an order via PayPal and by telephone and have been unsuccessfull. Anyone else with this problem? Thanks for any help.
