  5. thats it in a nutshell, have never had my baits yellow with nu lustre, dev is a little tougher, just not worth the headache compared to nu lustre, IMHO, and i recoat nu lustre baits, with in 12 hrs, makes it one super tough coat like instead of 2 seperate coats, in my experince Etch
  6. i also use nu lustre as woodie does( thanxs for the tip oldtimer) lol, been using it for over a yr now and love it, it is between dv2 and etex as far as thickness, and is tougher then etex, just make to warm the bottles a little before using it! Etch

  8. nice job on the baits, really like the way you did the bass paint!! Etch
  9. it will all come down to preference, whether you through wire or use screw eyes, i use stainless screw eyes, epoxied in and they wont pull out, try both and see which is better for "you" and your type of crank. Etch

  18. Hi Guys It's been a long time, thought I'd post some pics of some Pike/Musky & Bass lures that I've been having fun with. Hope you like them. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v11/little-cleo/new%20lures/ Thanks Etch
  19. also forgot, always square up the table to the blade, and when setting up your guides to the blade,a good rule of thumb is to just be able to sneak a piece of paper bettween the blade and the guide, this will reduce a lot of blade wander, and remember to let the saw and blade do the work, dont try and force the wood through the saw as you will pay for it in the quality of the cut you just did, again hope it helps Etch
  20. all very good points by out to lunge, only time you will need a bi metal blade is for cutting stainless steel lips, and then you would use a diemaster blade, stuff goes through stainless like butter, sent one i made up to fatfingers who was having probs cutting his lips out, and now he is problem free, as for tpi and types of blades, use neo or flex, for wood, and pay attention to what lunge said about blade thickness, for example the salt water guys love the 18 tpi 1/4 neo or flex blades for cutting the lip slots for there pikie or metal lip lures, nice clean and small lip slot every time,i use a 1/4 inch flex blade with a 4tpi or 6tpi, for cutting my pine and basswood lures, but will go to a 3/8 blade 4tpi for harder woods like maple, hope it helps, Etch
  21. jr, love your work, impressed all the time by you and your talents!!! Etch
