  1. Sorry, had a comment about the actual topic here. I am new to all of this and have yet to make my first lure, but on occasion, a topic will come up that is related to making lures, that through other experience, I have some knowledge about. So I will comment on that if I deem it to be helpful. It may be not much but if it helps then great, if not no biggie.
  2. LaPala, I hope you post more pics of this when it's done. I want to see what you have come with. That looks sweet.
  3. bid is now at $500.00. getting kind of pricey, but I guess you are saving a bunch compared to buying items seperately.
  4. I just read through your tut Shawn and that is wonderfully done. You cover everything needed for a begginer like me to get it right the first time. Thank you for your knowledge and helping us beginners avoid some mistakes I would probably make.
  5. Changing the size of the back hook will definitely affect the motion of the bait having more weight to swing back and forth for the wobble. Now changing the front hook has been known to help to get extra depth on your crankbait and it doesn't affect the motion much.

  7. Raising your work surface up where you have no bending at all will eliminate a lot of you back problems. Ergonomics of making fishing lures.
  8. Is the flex coat a little more expensive though? But if it works well then maybe worth the extra cost.
  9. Check out this earlier post about putting baits together by Senkosam, it works well for him and as you can see I inquired about his technique which he gladly shares. http://www.tackleunderground.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=3327
  10. I am in WV, not one lake in the state has a fish that size. That fish would be easily a new state record.
  11. She's a beauty. Can you tell me this much, what state? California I am guessing.
  12. Robbor, how can you post such a nice fish without details?
  13. Yeah that was the one thing I was wondering. How are you attaching them to the bait.
  14. Would tapping on the mold help get the air out or is the stuff just too thick. As you can tell I am not yet pouring but will be soon.
  15. Well if you are selling baits, they first have to catch fishermen, then they will come back for more if they catch fish.
  16. I have a friend who makes wire throughs for muskie (Smuttly Dog lures) and he twists the wire ends, no soldering.
  17. Thought of another way, I pm'd you my email address, so check you inbox and thanks for your time.
  18. Thanks I will get this out to you when I get home (can't send email from work).
  19. Oh did I misunderstand the question, are you looking for a physical address or his website address?
  20. I don't know his address but if you go to their site and click the contact us and email him asking for an address, I am sure you will get what you need.
  21. Wow, that is easy. Thanks for the quick response and as always you are very helpful and willing to share your knowledge and experience with us rookies.
  22. Vinny, can you tell me how you make these? It seems simple, but pics of them never show the back side of that blade. Maybe some close up shots of both sides, if you could. thanks
  23. Senkosam, you are always thinking, I like that about you. Now can you explain to me how you are fusing plastics together. I am very curious. You said a candle and a soldering iron? Please go into detail please.
  24. Thanks for this recipe book. As a guy just getting started, this will get me headed in the right direction and cut down on some trial and error. Much Appreciated.
  25. I've always done well with pumpkinseed w/ red flake on a spider jig, which is a twin tailed grub with a skirt like head on it. (I hope that makes sense) But I would think any thing that resembles a craw like the beaver you mention in that color would work well for you.
