  1. Thanks for the info. The type of heads I need are the Style 9.....http://www.do-itmold...olds.aspx?c=217
  2. Thanks for advice everyone. dlaery, I was planning on using a 30 strand plastic weedguard.
  3. Thanks for the input. Smallmouthaholic, the quote for the mold was for a 3 cavity mold 3/4, 1, and 1.5 oz Style 9 Shad Head. It seemed a bit too pricey, but I could be wrong.
  4. Hey everyone, I'm trying to make a Weedless version of the Shad head. I tried drilling out a hole after pouring the heads, but its just makes a mess and the weed guard just doesn't seem to work right. I checked with a CNC shop near me and they want $350 to make a custom Do-it mold for me, which is just too much. Can anyone help me figure it out? Here's what I'm talking about. The recessed eye to accommodate the 3D eye is not necessary, but a plus if possible. Thanks!
  5. Thanks guys. I'll do a search. I appreciate your help! JERRY
  6. I've been looking all over for Molded 3D eyes to put on a bunch of my lures. The problem is that I need 6mm, 7mm, and 11mm. All I can seem to locate is sizes in Inches. Does anyone know where I can find any online? I need just the basic silver color. THANKS SO MUCH JERRY
  7. I made a few molds out of Plaster of Paris and everytime I pour baits out of them I ned up with large bubbles on the surface. I haven't had any bubble issues with the molds that I purchased, only with the ones that I made. Does anyone know how to cure this? Thanks Jerry
  8. Reading the posts below, I was justing owndering if I can use Pyrex pouring cups to heat up plastics on an electric hotplate. Del mentioned something about them cracking. I'm afraid of using the microwave seeing as how plastic gives off toxins. Thanks Jerry
  9. I'm interested in getting some beaver tails baits, rather than pouring my own since I don't know if they will work for me. I won't want to get a mold for a bait that I may not end up using. Is anyone willing to sell their baits? I would love to get a hold of some junebug colored ones. Thanks, JERRY jerrycch3310@yahoo.com
  10. I've just started making my own swimbaits. After learning everything from this website, I think I'm addicted to making my own lures. Thanks to everyone for all you help and info. Anyway, I was thinking of adding scents like pro-cure to my swimbaits. Since the scents are heavily colored and sometimes thick I assumed that there may be a few problems in adding them. Am I right? Or can I add them to the swimbaits without any problems. JERRY
  11. I'm new to the plastics making thing. I've made a few single color swimbaits and they've turned out fine. I want to move on. I just wanted to know if there is a difference in the glitter you put in the swimbaits and the normal glitter that you can purchase @ craft stores? Thanks JERRY
