any idea of the best mix: THF + Cyclohexanone + PVC glue? and what would be the best paint to give color? thanks for helping

I'm not so sure, createx paint would probably bond and adhere if mixed with proper solvant.

My concern is almost price, i think the "base" to make a homemade paint is PVC cleaner (about 10 usd a liter), MEK, pvc glue and??? i guess you can make about 3 liters of paint for 30 usd, and you just get 4 fl oz for 10 usd (without shipping), just have to get "the formula"...

well, just because spike it is not available oversea, and also , may be some formula are better than spike it because they don't have to be coated, it also allows to make your own colors, for a much better price

i think there is a way to make your own soft lure paint, i have seen some painted soft lure with homemade paint and the result is really great, but no one gives his formula, but i kn ow it's possible to do with market products, just have to know how to do it. I'm very surprise that there is no post about homemade paint for soft lure on this forum, there is tons of tutorial but not about paint

i've just tested my version, the original does not swim at slow speed, it needs a quick retrieve to swim, mine is just ... perfect, it swims at a very slow speed

Yes , it's been a while since i fish with my own Javallon, i've published picture on "old" forum, but they disapeared. what's new here , is the mold, instead of using 300g of RTV, i only use 100g of RTV melt with plaster. and it pours great. i also have lake fork mold , live magic shad (all size) and live magic slug (which is one of my best lure), i've read that one member of Imakatsu'staff went for a fishing trip in USA and discover a lure (a prototype) of magic shad lure (size 4"5 or 140mm) and once get back to Japan, Imakatsu produce the Javallon 140, that i immediatly copied . if you look at Imakatsu JAvallon line, the 140 size is the only model which is different, 90, 100, 160 and 200mm size are exactly the same model. that's why i'm quiet sure the story is true.

Yes exactly, but wonder how it's possible to get same result as above, when i pull off the plastic, there is always parts of foil (small or big) that are also coming of, so what's the trick to get this result???

Hi, i already use less RTV than i used to i cut é pieces of wood to place the lure to make to parts mold. i tried plaster and RTV it makes a layer of 2 or 3 mm on the lure, i think this should be the best way to use RTV to make mold (depending of your master of course).
