  1. Still up for grabs if someone wants them. Your best chance of getting me would be: shoutdoors@hotmail.com
  2. I have a 100 count of bronze gamakatsu model 111 hooks for sale. They are 90 degree and 4/0, o'shaugnessy style bend. email: shoutdoors@hotmail.com
  3. I have a 100 pack of Black Nickel Gamakatsu hooks that I ordered the wrong ones that I needed. They are model 674 in 4/0 size. $15 to your door. Please email: shoutdoors@hotmail.com
  4. Was fortunate enough to be able to look first hand at every sample Skirts Plus has available and still nothing. Fishingskirts.com does not seem to have it either. Funny because it is just a simple faded chart. pad with some hologram flake and it is the most popular color War Eagles sells in their lineup of spinnerbaits. It's an excellent spinnerbait color and I'm surprised it's not in their lineup.
  5. I have concluded that the clear color is skirtsplus color SG103 and the fishscale color is P616 just cannot locate the faded chartreuse color. Cannot find that color anywhere. Any ideas?
  6. Was wondering if anyone had the skirt material colors that I would need for making the Spot Remover color from war eagle. I made the spinnerbaits just need to know what colors of the skirt pads I need to order to make that color. I would prefer to order from skirtsplus but i can order from anyone if somebody just knows what colors those are. Thanks!
  7. On the subject of lip design I've noticed the old Mann's 10+ to 30+ have a different angle on the end of the lip. The Hot Lips and most recently the Strike King 6xd has a similar design. If you look at a Strike King Series 6 compared to a 6XD it looks like they basically changed the lip and it's a totally better bait than the old series 6. Any thoughts on why that lips scoop on the end makes a difference?
  8. It seems it's a combination of body shape, bill size/shape, but probably most importantly ballast. Prime example would be the old bagley baits.
  9. Your right I forgot about those but you are right they did go deep. I guess those baits don't make it long in production because they just look awkward with that long bill and the public does not buy them. Anyone out ever make one or see one that looks proportionate?
  10. Almost every production crankbait that dives 15+ feet has a fairly large body (poes 400, dd22, dt16, etc.) Anyone have any luck building a 15+' diver with a smaller body size like a RC1.5 body or dt6 size body? I'm sure it's a challenge to maintain good action and not get a giant bill.
  11. I am learning about crankbaits that hunt. I would like to know how far off center does some of you guys favorite (that means one's that catch fish. LOL!) crankbaits come off center, ie. 3 inches, 3 feet? and for how long? Do you know if there is any good video of a good hunting square bill in a swimming pool etc. What is your opinion to what makes a crankbait hunt? Can someone explain their philosophy on the crankbait basically oscillating so fast that it causes this bait to hunt? What brands of crankbait have you found that hunt? I know old Bagleys but what other ones? Any plastic baits you find out of the package do this? The RC 1.5 crankbait is one of the most popular crankbaits around right now does it hunt and what makes it so good in your opinion?
  12. Unfortunately that is the rootbeer color I'm talking about. The gourd green has a lighter tint of amber it is more of a tradtional pumpkinseed color base like the old zoom lizard. With a ton of green metal flake in it. It is basically the same color you sent but with a lighter shade of brown and much more green flake. It almost glows green in the water. The fish love it over that color. I've been using it since the early 1990's but it is harder to find now in stores since lunker lure isn't as poplular now.
  13. Does anyone have to receipe to match the Chartreuse Shad color on a lucky craft. I read in previous posts you might have to buy a BASF product to match the blue? Anyone have any receipe close?
  14. I've checked that color and it still doesn't match up to theirs, it's kind of a strange color that you don't find.
  15. I am looking for the lunker lure skirt material Green Gourd #124 in their catalog. Does anyone know where they buy their skirt material from so I can find it? This color looks like the popular rootbeer green flake or pumpkin green flake but it is more of a pumpkin color base with a supercharged amount of green glitter so it really glows green when put in the water.
  16. I think I conquered the Green Crawfish color in the other post, now does anyone know what color I need to paint a Phantom Green or Phantom Brown Wiggle wart color. It's sometype of transparent color. I have transparent green in a Tamiya color but not sure how to lighten the color up.
  17. Been trying to match the color today, looks like Brass mixed with some transparent green makes a match.
  18. I need to know how to mix the green color on a green crawdad wiggle wart color number V38? It's like a metallic green color. you can see the color on this link Storm Pre-Rapala Wiggle Wart Lure,V 38, Vintage !! - eBay (item 350158939212 end time Feb-26-09 09:03:51 PST)
  19. What is the best way to thin vinyl paint. I know they sell a product specifically for vinyl paint but I know there must be a basic solvent that will work great. Thanks!
  20. Like you said, I guess it is a floor coating, I noticed that Picasso and Tru-tungsten are using it on their jigs. Haven't tried their jigs to see if it is any good. The only thing I could think of is it must be pretty tough stuff to go on a floor and take that kind of abuse.
  21. I noticed a larger company using advertising the use of Duraseal on their jigs. Has anyone tried it? Wondering if it has any advantages over other clear coats?
