    004 custom colors

    first attempts at core shooting
  2. Hand injected core shot
  3. The process is pretty simple, if you have a injection mold. shoot the top of the mold with the desired color, let set up. use some alcohol to wipe( to clean oils and insure bonding), the cooled plastisol then take straight colorant and a tiny bit of stabilizer mix the two together, then add a little dot of it (I use a tooth pick) at the desired location on the bait close the mold and shoot the bottom color. I like clear no colorant with a little pearl glitter in it. it takes practice but that is what that process will do. hope this helped. then add eyes and dip in clear plastisol . hang till set up ...24 hrs to completely cure and done.
  4. sorry bout that wont happen again
  5. Been playing with shooin cores with these little baits, surprised myself how they came out. Just take a lot of time and patients neither of those do I have! LOL. hope you like them
  6. I use a paint pen I found in an art store
  7. you need to find salt water version of strung saddle hackle they are 6"-8" long and will work for preacher jigs I also use the longest buck tail hairs I can incorporate as well as select craft hair. the flashabou is a personal preference. cabalas bass pro hair line dubbin or Wapsi
  8. I found a new product, that I can incorporate glow powder in my soft plastic . will glow for almost 10 hours
  9. I have become a scavenger , any road kill I have a few plastic bags for tails, fox , coyote, deer. fox is great and you can learn to dye them or not they work fine natural. need to find the jig size and hook size combo get some 210 denier flat waxed thread in black or olive . you can find lots of things at the local hobbie shops
  10. I had a contact at a deer processing cooler and they saved me the prime tails and I hand select the sections of tails that has the longer hairs.
  11. My masters were the shapes I had poured from the original single . They were plastic so shiny they were. I think I may have discovered the reason. The product, they offer different hardnesses in their line of RTV's . Still if I can find a product I could coat the walls I could save the mold?
  12. Alumnite amazing rubber. The pink one
  13. I purchased some rtv at a local hobby store mixed according to instructions and poured over master molds! After cure time and removing. My baits come out dull? Never had this problem before with rtv? A chemical reaction must be happening? Any ideas what to do? Any coatings or acetone cleaning? Am at a loss and 15.00 down the drain? Help please?
  14. Here is my first attempt
