  1. If you are hunting Gorillas you better not use a light wire! I have one with a 4/0 gamma. I dont know how light you want. click on my link below and put this number in the search box. 320113630070 Tony

  3. I too am a.r. about my bearings. I replace all of mine with ceramic, even the spool bearings. I use my drill press to easily push the pin out. it takes 2 seconds. see the picture. there is a hole drilled in the wood directly under the pin. I am sorry, I cant figure out how to attach the picture...it says file too big.
  4. I ordered some ceramic bearings from him and got them in a week. They are pretty nice. This guy was out of Canada. Same Mikes?
  5. I snowblow my whole block here in Chicago. This week I have receieved a pie, a pint of blueberries, a pint of strawberries, and a plate of brownies, and it is only Tuesday! Maybe I should go on a diet. I guess my neighbors can see I like to eat. I cant wait to wet a line again.
  6. I spoke with rads attorney at length last week, They do not have and are not trying to patent the hexagonal shape of the blade. They are however going after anybody who uses the hexagonal blade. So after trying to figure out that doubletalk, I asked "so all I have to do is get a blade with fewer or more sides on it and I will not be bothered?" "Yes." SO PLOP GET BUSY! Also, dont use the name.
  7. Glc has got it all going on! Hey D.G.
  8. Richard, I powder coat all mine for personal use and they come out great.
  9. Got my registered mail saturday. I need to compare with somebody else. I sell just the components on ebay, not even the finished product. They said that the consumers might be confused by the words "build your own chatter type baits" and think that these are actual Rad Lures components. Anybody Here think that? I heard about a year ago Zucker (zman) was going to do that but I cant believe I got one for components. Go figure.
  10. Nutty, Thank-you for the link. No these are the real deal. Tony
  11. I have the naked booyah swim jig heads in 1/2 and 3/8 in black listed under ultimate swim jig bassmasters....in my ebay store. I would like to find the rattles. Tony
  12. It is porous polyethelene{plastic]. Pretty expensive. Google porex or gen pore. You can get some from Mcmaster Carr.
  13. There is a guy name Vandy who posts here out of Ho chi min viet Nam. He works for GLC. Good people! http://www.viet-imports.com/FishingProducts.asp
  14. vandy, I really enjoy your input here. First lets set things straight. My friends company IS NOT IN THE U.S.! Labor costs are very cheap but I am not sure if there is enough of a market to make it worth It. The good part would be that I get to skip the middleman and i don't have to have a 200,000 skirt order. You said that you plan to market here in smaller quantities, will that be soon? Will it be internet orders. Keep us posted.
  15. Thanks Craig, I am doing well. I am waiting for the mystery man from Vietnam to post again and elaborate a little bit. 16. sorry, that's a Little over 17 cents per glittered color.
  17. Vandy, Are you with Don or Darryl? I thought your business model did not include selling to the little guys. That's 16 cents cost for 44 strand. with glitter. Does that include f.e.t. and shipping? If not how much extra is f.e.t. and freight per skirt? What is the minimum order per color? I am very interested in what you have to say on this subject. Please post here again. Sincerely, Tony
  18. blades, Thanks for the info, I was not aware of anyone here in the states who was actually stamping out silicone. But that is good there needs to be competition in this area. When i went back and read that i also made another mistake. Don Link = skirts plus.... over 300 Vietnamese employees, and 4 in Minnesota according to ESPN website. Go ahead and Hijack away, My wife corrects me all the time! She claims I have CRS but i can't remember what that stands for. Tony
  19. Thanks to those who replied, keep them coming. By the way i am not trying to corner anyone into buying skirts, I am just trying to get a feel for what colors and banded or strips. I think we certainly will start with black and white to make sure the quality is right. But I would still like to get more OPINIONS on color and type. Please weigh-in on this. This is not an order form! Thank-you all very much. Tony
  20. At the moment there are only 2 places in the world outside of china producing skirts. 1. Don link in Viet Nam aka Living rubber 2. Darryl Greene also in Viet Nam who is Zmans sole supplier. Zman is Jerry Zucker -- Americas 346Th richest American. (That fortune did not amass from skirts however.) I am not happy with this situation as there is basically no competition in this market. We the Tackle-builders and ultimately the fisherman are at their mercy. Gasoline smelling skirts? Sorry will do better next time. A little sticky? Oh well. My friend's family owns a silicone plant. I am working with him to stamp out some skirts. I am weighing the considerable investment and trying to determine what the response would be from the market i want to target... The little guys. There is no way to compete with zman for the Big Boys and darryl has patents on the ez skirts (and several at that) which will soon be enforced. So we are trying to figure out what colors and which type "banded" or the strips would sell best. Or both? So my questions for all of you are 1. what three or four colors or color combos (at first) do you order the most? flake color also. 2. Do you prefer pre-banded or strips? 3. How many strands? 3. Would you order 50 / 100 to try "The New Guy" of course at competitive price. 4.Do you think I am crazy? I appreciate your responses. Moderaters I am new to these forums so if i put this in the wrong place or something please move to proper spot. Thank-you, Tony
  21. Elken, you can get an accelerator for the super glue at any hobby shop. dip the weedgaurd end in the accelerator and the glue won't wick up the fiber.
  22. it is a lot easier when your last name is Zucker. zman's net worth is over 1 billion, forbes 346th richest American. He is waist deep in lawyers, he has to wear chest waders so none of the stuff sticks on him.
