  1. Comes as a set with two sides and 3 alignment pins. Contact me for bulk orders.
  2. Anyone willing to make me a mold based off of a sculpy model? I would be willing to either... 1. Pay for materials and time. or 2. Trade materials to build several wooden crankbaits. Email me at Jasonandgretchen@bellsouth.net Thanks Jason
  3. Let me know how it works if you don't mind. I plan on placing an order within the next couple of weeks for the Calhouns. Thanks J
  4. Yeah, that helps. Thanks guys. I plan on mostly pouring the Javallon type lures and craw lures. I like the durability of the brushhogs even with the salt in them. Thanks again. J
  5. What application for which and which do you prefer? Thanks J
  6. Kellure--I was trying to get about a hundred or so, enough to make a season's worth of lure for me and my family. Terry--I have been using that method but it seems like the eyes are very inconsistent. Maybe it is just me. I hate the painting and coating parts of the lure making process. Thanks for the help. J
  7. Hey guys. Where do you get those yellow eyes with the forward black pupils? Are these painted on, and if so, how? Thanks again for the help. J
  8. Thanks John. That is extremely helpful. J
  9. Hey guys. Do you thin your Devcon when applying the final sealer coat over the paint? I am just wondering, I don't want to pull all of my paint off with the sealer, I am just tired of smoothing out bumps on the final coat. Also, can you thin the Devcon on the step when first sealing the wood? If so, can you thin it to dipping consistency? Thanks J
  10. The picture didn't come throught too well but it looks good from what I can see. No runs or drips like on my lures. I guess I will have to break down and buy a compressor. Did you catch that musky in your sig with a lure you made? J
  11. Thanks for the help guys. I am going to try to get a compressor and a decent airbrush. I guess practice makes perfect. Thanks again. J
  12. Hello again everyone. This stuff is addicting. I have gotten the carving part down. I have gotten the assembly and adding the wires down. I have gotten the faux foil method down. And at last I got the devcon down (hope its safe to use semi-indoors). My big problem is with paint. I ordered a cheapo paintbrush w/propel and some acrylics from Walmart. I got the color mixing figured out finally but I can't seem to shoot the paint very well at all. I thought about switching to rattle cans after seeing what Fir3 Tig3r and others have done here with it. I am wondering what rattle cans you guys use and how you use them. Do you mask? Stencil? What? Would someone please tutorialize (made up word) this? or at least give me a general clue. Thanks for all of your help. I couldn't have gotten started without you all. J
  13. Thanks for all the help everyone. I will check walmart again but I didn't see the Devcon last time I looked. I'd be willing to hear about other suppliers or sources. Thanks!
  14. Hello. I am a bit of a newb when it comes to lure making. I have been carving for several years but haven't put paint to any. I live in a very small town. I am wondering where one might purchase the Devcon 2T and the Createx paints on the net. Can anyone help me with this or do I need to make the hours long trip to the hobby stores? Thanks! J
