  1. Try this thread. It will have you reading for more than a few minutes. It actually will give more info than you are asking for. http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/hard-baits/7695-question-skeeter.html Eric
  2. Yeah Bob things have apparently gotten higher. I wont take the nozzle off again unless I am over a soft surface like the mattress or a thick piece of foam. They charged $9.95 for shipping too. As far as a cleaning kit/brush, I haven't found one small enough to fit the .3 and smaller fluid nozzles. Twisting the needle with a color cup of water has worked very well for more than a year. Eric
  3. I use the needle itself. I put the needle in and spin it a little then wipe clean. Repeat until needle is clean and spins freely. I do not apply a lot of pressure, just enough to have the needle set into position Eric
  4. I can't speak as far as Auto Air, but I use distilled water for my Createx paints. Eric
  5. Been there done that. I started putiing the stopper in to keep from loosing parts. Bob, where did you get the fluid tip for $18. I just bought one for my Iwata Hi-Line from Dixie and it was $40 something after shipping. (Note to self: Do not drop air brush nose first onto hard conter top agian.) Eric
  6. Hadn't been able to paint due to being clumsy and messing up my airbrush to the point that it required professional attention. (Gravity and hard surfaces are a bee-otch) Had a slight case of withdrawl due to 2 weeks without painting anything. Eric

    Bluegill balsa

This is my first attempt at a bluegill pattern. I put the scheme on a 3/4 oz crank that will run apx 2 feet. If you reel a little slower, it will run just under the surface creating a fairly good sized wake. With the following features, I nicknamed it the "Bedrocker" Notice the slight flip flop pattern between the pictures. Scaling disapears, and purple hue on back fading to blue hue at tail.

    Bass musky baits

    Very, very nice.
  11. Emmet, it is just a transfer. Then shaded to the match the scheme. And thanks also. Captsully18, very flattering, paint away. I was copying nature.
  12. Mark, There are a bunch of pics on the net for tilapia. Some of them are not as dark as the one photoed. Some have a lighter background with darker markings. Eric
  13. Not much more to say after the title.
  14. The power plant lake here has stocked Tilapia. The bass seem to crush the live ones when you nose hook them. A friend of mine wanted a crank for an upcoming tournament. So this is the end result.

This is my frst attempt at a natural shad pattern. I got a few things backward in the painting process. I will know better next time.

    Largemouth from Memorial Day

Thanks Dean. All my lures now have a 1/4" minimum diameter on the eye. This was probably the 3rd or 4th lure I had built at the time, so things were kinda of hit or miss still.
  21. I would not say that it was hard. It is something that you just don't rush. If you take your time and be easy while making it smooth, it isn't too bad. If you get in a hurry, it will tear. Then you have to start over.
