I get 2-3 requests a year for a skull jig. Nice implementation.

  10. You know Jeff and Robert are family. Jeff has been there a long time. Not sure why you have to display such animus. He's not old enough to compare memories of how the Earth looked before there was dirt, but he's the one who's been making all the colors and creating new ones for a very very long time. His reasons are his own. If he doesn't open back up in a few months I'll come back and say I was wrong. If he does will you apologize to everybody for the chip on your shoulder for something that doesn't even affect you. After all by your own admission you don't even make baits anymore. FYI: About 2 tenths of second is the reaction time of a small group of people with faster than normal reflexes and it is expressed that way in context in professional settings. There may be a few that are very marginally faster or appear to be faster because a string of actions can be performed faster one after another if it's part a trained set of actions. I have been told 4 tenths of a second is the average untrained human reaction time. It is also expressed that way. No reaching for something that you knocked off a table is not an untrained reflex unless you are very young.
  11. That is true. Also, as I stated earlier I did ask Jeff to update his site maintenance message when we spoke. I play with everybody's plastic myself, but only so I know how it performs and if its going to be a problem for an application. For my own stuff, when I actually have time to make baits for myself and go fishing I pretty much just use MF Regular or MF Soft Sinking. I've got 8 or 10 different plastics on the bottom shelf of my pouring bench right now not counting resins, silicones, and hard plastic pellets.
  12. Okay, so you guys KNOW now from multiple sources that Jeff is moving. He isn't going out of business. Does his not updating his website have a negative effect on you. No. Not even a little. Will it have an effect on Jeff. Maybe, but he is aware of it and has chosen his priorities. (Note: There was no question mark where you might expect one. That was on purpose.) Or as I summed it up before, "Well there ya go."
  13. They are not closing down. In the video he says it's a clickbait title. Jeff is doing what I said. He's moving the business to a new location. He purchased a place in Oklahoma with a nice building for the business and some land. I didn't know how much of his business he wanted a bunch of strangers to know so I only shared what was important. He's moving. It's a lot of freaking work. He plans to be open around Christmas. By extension it's kind of hard to make a change on a website while your hammer down on the freeway. Nor is it a high priority, but I'm sure you'll come back yet again and tell me how you could do it in 2/10 of a second with one eye tied behind your back. Cut the guy some slack. He's in the middle of a massive move and reorganization. The detail that sets you off just may get overlooked.
  14. I might add that many years ago, before I was in the mold business, I was a licensed contractor. I did that for 23 years. I moved my contracting business and my storage to the current location where my machine shop is now back around 2006 or so and I spent over a year moving the business with a lot less equipment trucks and inventory than Jeff has because I kept the business open and ran all of the service and continued to take new contracts for that time. I can certainly see the appeal for shutting down or reducing services for a few months in order to do it all at once.
  15. It's not my business to share the inside of what's going on. But I highly doubt that your post or suspicions are very accurate. I do however have first hand experience with people claiming that it only takes a couple minutes for me to do whatever it is they want me to do. There are a lot of couple minutes that eat up a person's time, and every single person has a reason that's important to them and why I should spend that couple minutes on whatever it is they want me to do for them. If I were doing what Jeff is doing right now, I probably wouldn't return a lot of calls either. Particularly those from people who are no longer making stuff and buying my products. I did suggest to Jeff that he needs to update the message on his website, when it's convenient. Again I'm not going to discuss why it may not be convenient for him at the moment or the logistics of that but I'm sure somebody will pipe up and tell me how it should only take a couple minutes. Tiderunner, last time I talked to Jeff he said he hopes to be up and near full running in the new facility which he takes possession of tomorrow by around Christmas time. He's been packing product and machinery getting ready to make the move and he's still got a lot more to do. Then when he's fully into the new facility he's got a lot to do to get it ready and get all of the processes sorted out from mixing to packaging to shipping. That should work out just about right for you.
  16. I just talked to Jeff again a few minutes ago, and he's going to fill orders when he can. For now just plastic and color. I don't think he's going to fill small orders for right now, because it takes just as much time as filling a larger order, and he needs that time for packing up stuff and hauling it to the new location. Some of you may not realize it, but his operation is a pretty decent size warehouse. It's going to take a lot of time to move everything. Basically if you need quarts of color or at least a few gallons of plastic or more leave a message. Do not take that as gospel though. Moving a business is an arduous task that takes a lot of time. Particularly one with a lot of inventory.
  17. I've talked with Jeff a few times. He is in the process of moving the operation to a new location. It's a big move, and it's going to take another month or two.
  18. Thanks. Just heard from him yesterday on Facebook. He's not doing any tackle making these days. I thought he might be letting it go when he sent me a couple of his molds a while back.
  19. Anybody heard from @toadfrog lately? The last time I heard from him was a Christmas greeting, and his cell phone rings through to a changed or disconnected message. He was getting up there. I hope he's still with us.
  20. The Hex Worm Is Obviously NOT a "Trick." I sent the very first Hex Worm mold home last night with the fishing buddy I fished with all summer. I told him to make some baits in his favorite colors and send me some pictures I could post. He fished with them this morning, and he was crazy excited about it. He said he wished he'd made more the night before. He ran out of worms before he ran out of fish. Then he said other people he talked to said the bite was tough. I guess the Hex Worm is really not a "Trick." It actually does okay. This is the very first time this bait has been fished, and apparently it slays. https://www.yumabassman.com/2023/09/24/the-hex-worms-first-time-on-the-water-it-really-isnt-a-trick/
