  1. thanks for your reply. I'll check out the injection molds
  2. Has anyone used Del's aluminum tube mold? How easy it is to pour? Any problems with the plastic NOT flowing to the bottom of the cavity?
  3. Thanks, that's some pretty expensive scent. I'll give them a call to check on the pricing
  4. does anyone here use cricket scent or know where to buy it?
  5. Where did you get your info on the Prizm Shad being discontinued. Robo has issued a list of discontinued colors and Prizm Shad is NOT on the list. To confirm this, I had my local shop call. It is NOT discontinued.

    Samples

Sorry, my eyes were screwed in crooked. I reread your post and it was clear.

    Samples

Most companies are willing to send you a sample bait that was made from the mold, but not too many will send you an actual mold as a sample. Can't hurt to ask, though.
  8. Mags- Don't be so quick to jump on the manufacturer. When a product is outsourced, it is built to the buyer's specs. Bass Magic should have noticed this if it wasn't what they ordered or wanted. Maybe they should have done a more thorough job of R&D before the bait was released. Maybe this is exactly what they wanted.
  9. Why are you surprised that they are sending you a sample? Kim and Shawn realize that people can't buy supplies by sight or description alone. They have always been very helpful and willing to send out samples. More companies need to have the customer service they offer.
  10. Can't see myself spending $10 on a jig. It's bad enough losing a half dozen or so homemade jigs a day, let alone one that cost me that much.
  11. If you have access to gray squirrel tails, they make great jigs. You can make up to a dozen or more from one tail.
  12. If you sell to a store that uses scanners and bar codes, they will usually have their own set of UPC codes and will do in house labels for your product.
  13. Mags- In your case, you will still have to pay an additional 10% on the jigs you're selling. They call it a remanufactured product. Now, if someone buys your jig, adds something to it and they resell it, they will also have to pay the 10%. IRS is covering their donkey so there aren't any loopholes. They want all the money they can get. I know it doesn't seem fair, but that's how it goes. Here's the funny part. Depending on what IRS agent you get, they might not even know the Form 720 exists. When I called to get the form sent to me, the agent said it didn't exist. When I asked for her name and a letter stating that, she transferred me to someone who knew what I was talking about.
  14. No matter how small your company is, if you are advertising baits for sale on this site or anywhere else, your best bet is to pay the tax. You will not be happy if/when you get a letter from IRS. The fine for not complying is not a small one. Contact IRS and get Form 720. The tax is paid quarterly. Add the tax into the price of your product. Good fishing!
  15. How heavy is the weight you're using? It looks pretty heavy. Does it swim the same way with a smaller weight, like 1/16 oz?
  16. They look real close to the Rainbow Worms Bowfish being sold on the West Coast. www.histackleboxshop.com
