Looking around for a bait to be cut, and maybe some lips. I know it won't be to economical but I'm curious to say the least. I exactly don't have the tools to do what I want to do.

  3. Thanks guys. I've heard of dashing before my kids gradfather was a spackle guy before he made fishing a career. I like that bait u have little river. I use a lot of yellow on my baits bellys but he wanted it orange pearl.
  4. Done with rattle can, qtip, and a brush
  5. Matter of fact I just got done painting one I will post it in the morning.
  6. Hobby paint, couple colors of rattle can paint, tooth brush, painters tape, and a drill bit. You could paint about any pattern you could dream up. This was my equipment I used to get hooked on painting cranks back in 2007. My favorite pattern to paint and most popular amongst my freinds I use the stuff listed above.
  7. X2 I use a lot of nail polish in my cranks I have a endless supply (thanks to 2 princesses and a queen in my home lol). The only problem I have is solvent on top of solvent but I've never had a problem with solvent on top of createx or vise versa. On my plastic baits I top coat with a waterborne urethane. On wood I use epoxy.
  8. Thanks guys. I'll give it a try after work today. I'll let yall know how it goes.
  9. I got a questio. I just got a Lee mealting pot that is uaed and has lead in it already. I plugged it up to uae it when the lead got to temp and melted the spout started leaking not bad but a drop every 2 seconds or so. Any idea what is wrog and how I could fix it. It's the one the has a lever on the side and a rod in rhe pot to stop the flow of lead. Thanks BJ Barron
  10. I had a pint of it I got from a freind the lid always wanted to glue its self shut and was a pain to open. The biggest problem was the fumes it was horrible to say the least. I'll stick with the clear finger nail polsih from the dollar store works fine for my needs.
  11. Just my 2 cents here. I have dipped with it but had bad results from it. It had runs and required lots of sanding. My favorite way to seal it is to use clear finger nail polish. After sanding I do a coat of fingernail polish, then sand again then one more coat of polish. Usually its ready for the epoxy coating to give it a nice surfice to start painting. Sounds like a lot but it is faster than it sounds.

    My drying rack

Thanks! Yes it is. Im using a water borne urathane clear coat (high gloss). Simply dip and hang. I also use a white water borne urathane to coat the baits before I paint (egg shell).
