  1. Yep, it's a power bait. That edge on the 'a' is hard to see. Yes, they are out of production, hence the search. I think it's got too many ridges and is pretty tin in some spots that it could only be made with an injection process (but I could be wrong).
  2. A buddy is looking for this particular plastic. It has the words 'power bolt' on one side. I did search this site, but haven't done too much on the google?
  3. Craft glitter doesn't withstand the heat well- correct. I too forgot to order coloring. I used some old worms and metled them in the mix to accomplish that. What you don't want to do is use water based anything in with the plastic. There are some posts on TU about people using wax crayons as colorant. (Crayons these days are non-toxic for the kids, so they are non-toxic for the fish.) I think, back when I did it, I searched 'coloring plastic' and found some threads.
  4. May have been when you tried, but it's working for me, now.
  5. While that would be nice, I'm on an extremely tight budget these days. How about I just commit to clicking on the google ads 3 times a day? If you could get regular posters to do that, you'd make even more.
  6. It seems you didn't like my reply from your other post which is virtually the same as this one. http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/soft-plastics/3857-best-plastic.html http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/soft-plastics/643-soft-plastic-cookbook.html Del's got a starter package, look in the supplier links. Your first two posts are vague and very non-specific. I have given you links to threads which will help and contain answers to these basic questions. Use the search function... it will give you it all to you, and then you can come up with a more specific query. Good luck.

First your going to need to read. http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/soft-plastics-how/13748-introduction-pouring-pastics.html http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/soft-plastics-how/15698-pouring-one-piece-mold.html Then, some more... http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/soft-plastics-how/13945-pouring-stick-baits.html http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/soft-plastics/15424-make-your-own-mold.html?highlight=POP+mold http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/soft-plastics/15163-plaster-pop-mold.html?highlight=POP+mold http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/soft-plastics/15266-sea
  8. Well, if you don't peel it all off, you risk the chance of the new paint job peeling off possibly later. I think you search a little bit in the hard bait forum, they usually peel it all off. Good luck- can't wait to see the end result!
  9. Is it possible to turn this into a RSS feed? Wow! Nice work. Very ingenious, and informative.
  10. read, and read some more.... here's good one too. http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/hardbait-how/16524-pvc-trim-board-shad-swimbait.html
  11. I had read where guys used a mixer, maybe it's the advanced method or it was too fast. Mixed really well though. I'll have to psyche myself up for it again.
  12. I did re-melt. I'm on a very tight budget, and a buddy gave me $75 worth of old plastics he didn't like. I cut them up into little pieces and added a little fresh plastisol. Vodkaman; I should restate what I said. The bubbles came through in the bottom of the actual bait, while viewing from the top has no visible bubbles. The only issue is the previously mentioned dull patches. I mixed the POP with a electric mixer (metal blade) and let it air dry for a short while, then placed in the oven for another hour or so. Sealed them the next day, and they sat for at least 10 days prior to my first
  13. So, small pinholes, that I can't see, are causing this? IMG_4499.jpg picture by terrysavoie - Photobucket I gotta admit, even my wife can't agree. I want to believe you, it just doesn't add up for me yet. The top side came out okay. I haven't cleaned up the edges at all. IMG_4500.jpg picture by terrysavoie - Photobucket I also have to admit, I'm a little disappointed (and ashamed to post these pics) that I can't do something some 18 year olds do better the first time. And all the time I spent reading.....
  14. The mold that had the most bubbling do not show these holes you speak of. Certainly not to the extent that the bubbles occurred. I did notice on some of the baits that the finishes were different. Some of the bait was nice and shiny, with dull patches here and there. I may just have to start all over from scratch. I'm going to PM Pitbull and ask him some questions in case he doesn't see this thread. I do appreciate the help though, i just doesn't seem logical yet in my mind.
