  2. This is a good thread. Glad to hear the replys. I have a few customers that feel my Phat-eez are to soft.. And I like & want to hear the comments of my customers, good or bad. The feed back is a good thing. But I need to decide to keep um this soft or make um firmer..I think that no matter how any bait is.. there will be people that like it and people that do not..I like the soft stuff my self.. 3. very nice !! Jeff Home Page
  4. very nice guys.. you are correct that them 2 colors would not show a good lam with a picture. but the combo will catch fish. also, for the baits being perfect.. that only maters to the people you show um to,,NOT to the fish.. Fish could care less if they are made just rite.. keep at it.. Jeff Home Page
  5. I try to leave the baits lay on a table over nite before bagging, also the oil in the bag helps out too..
  6. I use there catalog and email the order in. works great for me..
  7. WOW, Glad I am not the only one that bites the bad ends off.. !!!
  8. they say that Yamamoto,, uses powdered sand to give weight to the senko .. ??
  9. If I go light on salt in the main bait,, the skirt will pull to the top.. but it takes a few seconds to do so.. with the normal amount of salt the bait will lay on the bottom and hold the skirt down. this is with no hooks or weight..just testing the bait itself in a bucket of water.
  10. I do use a good dose of salt.. and they do sink.. but , I have been playing with the amount of salt & I was surprized at how much salt you need to make um sink good,,The skirts do not have any salt & they kinda work like an umbrella and more salt is needed with skirted baits.. what else happens is... with a lot of salt you need to add more color & softner to compensate for the salt...I just was thinking that if there was a plastic that did not float then you could use less salt,, softer & color.. just a thought??
  11. Thats my deal too... I always use weight on my rigs, So the weightless fall rate is not an issue with me.. But.. Some of the guys using my baits fish weightless.. and a floating bait is not good for that..My Fat Ika Knock Offs are the main deal on the weightless rig,,
  12. this is a touch off topic,, sorta,,, and has been asked before I am sure,, but.. do all brands of plastic float ??? mainly the softer stuff... I use Lure Craft and it floats like a bobber,,
  13. Gunnie 3035.. awsome lams.. could you tell us just how you do that? Jeff Bass Boys Baits
  14. what tip & how did you do it ?? make the tips ahead of time ?? cut um on an angle ??
  15. nice,, what method did you use ? was it a tip from the other thread on the tails ? Jeff Bass Boys Baits
  16. greens blacks browns chartreuse blue red --------- Jeff Bass Boys Baits
  17. usually thats because the plastic is not mixed well. the hardner is settled to the bottom of the plastic jug. ( as Del stated).. make sure you shake the jug well & then shake it some more.
  18. this is a normal problem with mend-it.. I sell the stuff.. Yes, it is MEK that you need to add back to the glue.. I can not find MEK in my area, so Acetone is what I have to use and it works well to.Add a small amount to the bottle and let it set over nite then shake it together the next day. The manufacturer likes to use the glue after it has evaporated a small amount so it is a little thicker and stays put on the bait better and doesn;t run off.. I race slot cars too & we use Vibra-tite thread locker on some areas of the car.It comes in a glass jar and it evaporates away too. Jeff
  19. getting rid of dead inventory on ebay is good.Better than it sitting around..Before I started pouring my own,, I always went to ebay and bought the bag of 50 senko style worms and had great luck with um.And saved money too. Ebay has become one of the riches companies because of us sellers and they just keep raising the rates. too bad. Jeff
  20. I do ebay to sell a good bit of stuff and its not really worth the time and effort. I really think that if some of the sellers would keep good track of there exspenses they would see that they are not making any money..Ebay & pay pal ( owned by ebay )both collect fees off every sale. Its getting close to 20 % on fees. Then there is the cost of a Ebay store if they have that..Also all the packing supplies,,,travel to the post office.. its less than minimum wage by far.
