  1. Looking for a 2 Q Borosilicate beaker with a handle. I have found some for scientific use and they are VERY expensive. Thanks. kevtherev
  2. Lurecraft for me. They can get almost anything; size or color. kevtherev
  3. Thanks Frank; I'll look into that. Sounds like what I'm looking for.
  4. I am dipping baits and would like as little plastic on them from dipping as possible. Thanks.
  5. Made one with water catalyst which worked pretty well. Would like lower viscosity and was planning to use mineral spirits to mix into the silicon first then the water to catalyze. Any suggestions or thoughts? Thanks.
  6. Thanks guys. What temp are you using on the pot for the heatup?
  7. Anybody ever put a gallon of plastisol in their Presto Pot/Stirrer and come back in 30 minutes or whatever ready to pour? I seem to waste a lot of time heating up cups of plastic and pouring them in. Thanks.
  8. Saving money by pouring your own lures is like saving money by making your own plywood.
  9. It works very well in every way except for the hard pack issue. Within 24 hours of mixing it has to be scraped/mixed again.
  10. I think you hit a home run in your first at bat with the blending block.
  11. Most florescent colors need to be added before heating. The thermometer is a must. Stir slowly and with something small or you might introduce more bubbles than the heating process did. Good luck.
  12. I have someone who wants some lures with a "safety flourescent orange paint" brightness. Any suggestions as to how to get that bright with colorant and other additives? Thanks guys. kevtherev
  13. I used LC white pearl in the baits that turned yellow/brownish. kevtherev
  14. I recently took my baits to a flea market to sell. I had them on display on trays on a table outdoors. It was hot and sunny all day. When I got home and unloaded my unsold stock, I noticed ALL the light colored plastic had yellowed from exposure to the sun. I take great pains to avoid discoloration during pouring and now have hundreds of ruined/offcolor baits. I am sure it will come up so I will tell you I use LC plastic with pearl in most of my colors. Anyone else have this happen? I have abandoned selling outdoors for now. kevtherev
