    Aberdeen hooks

  3. I was mostly looking for a 60 degree but would modify mold if there's a flat eye out there it just seemed to me that some finesse jigs had a hook that was a shorter shank with a wide gap but maybe its just a smaller size I just used the bitsy bug as an example. I just like to throw a jig that's a little more compact in the places I fish that has both Sm and Lg . I will look those up Thank you for your help
  4. Does anybody make a wide gap short shank heavy wire bass jig hook for a finesse type jig or are they all custom made ? something like bitsy bug or a few other manufacturers size with type, hook etc. I have tried searching and haven't come up with anything Thanks
  5. Thanks Guys I have done them before but I didn't get any powder with the new ones.
  6. Does anybody know if the powder to keep the molds separated when vulcanizing is just Talcum Baby Powder ? I thought I had heard that? Thanks for the help

  11. The age old question I have gotten different answers from a lot of Wart followers but most say its the lead weight and the bill whether it be from miss alignment or the cup as stated above but it is a true cult following that no matter what it will never catch fish like the old ones Good Luck

    Minwax?

I would think it will yellow over time as I know the oil based does on floors.
  13. plus 1 on following Jim's procedure on weight get a scale as I found out even similar painted baits can weigh a little different from how much paints on them I just switch out a different hook or split ring.

    Gst Won't Harden

Do you need to stir the GST after putting it in little jars as I still notice on some baits even after 4 or so weeks if I leave on the counter they are stuck just a tad to the counter top not sticky to touch and thinking maybe that's why they stick any ideas?

    Gst Won't Harden

I dip mine in my basement which is in the 64 degree temp range and it took about 4 weeks to get to where you can't dent the surface , hopefully summer will be a little quicker.

    Whole Sale?

I also haven't gotten a bad KO from Predator or Unpainted and think the 1.5s work just fine
  17. Can someone give me a beginners course on hard plastic? I bought some knockoff baits to paint and when I reordered more now they are made with a blue tinted plastic as the first batch was more of a clear plastic .which is supposed to be better? Thanks

I have had the same thing happen to me with DN especially the thinner bills like the 1.5 so I just stopped dipping the bill.

I am another that agrees with Brent and Mark and I AM VERY THANFUL for the help and knowledge I have recieved on this site ,I understand that the guys that do this for a living would want to protect what they do and that is their right not to comment and Pizz is right that with all the advise nothing will help us get better then in the shop but to me its very similiar to all of us reading about new fishing techniques it just helps with the curve but nothings better then actual experience of course if I didi it all on my own I wouldnt have a computer
