  1. In my opinion the ICAST 2016 Soft Bait Winner is LiveTarget with their Swimbait Series. I especially like their Boot Tail idea that gives an unique realistic swimming movement. I was wondering which is the raw material used for: plastisol, TPE, TPR? Bye Cami
  2. Dear Basscat28, thank you very much for sharing this new Mold Producer: he is the European answer that we, European Soft Bait Makers, were waiting. Looking at the video the thin details of little soft baits are really accurate. Artificial Stone could be a sort of synthetic resin added with quartz powder as the polyester putty for marbles. Maybe the soft bait will be not shiny, but it doesn't matter for me. I'll surely will try some of their molds. Bye and thank you again. Cami
  3. It's correct: it's harder to bend a tube insert, instead two pcs. on the external sides of a swimbait leave more movement to its body. Moreover with a mylar tube inside the body you have to use a transparent plastisol, or a real transparent color, instead with two pcs. of mylar net on the external sides of it you can also use a matt color. I thought to have found a new idea, but it seems that another one arrived to it: http://www.imakatsu.co.jp/products/lure/pro_a122.html Bye Cami
  4. Dear Mark, as you know I'm not American, so I'm not sure what you mean with "mylar bits" (little pcs. of mylar?). Anyway as you know mylar nets and mylar sheets resist very well to plastisol temperature and you can easily find them in each Fly Fishing Shop. For instance I cut little triangles from an holographic mylar sheet, then glue them inside the internal sides of the mold to obtain ... fins. I you want to obtain not commercial flakes, then a good opportunity could be to destroy an holographic mylar net and mix all little pcs. in plastisol ... and they do not bleed. I also discovered that other kind of sheets can be used as inserts because their heat resistance: Shellback by Hends, they are Fly Fishing stripes, and Nail Art Foil ... yes that one used by girls. Bye. Cami
  5. A whole mylar holographic tube inside an injection or pouring mold, with the right diameter of course, is quite simple ... quite, but you will obtain a one shot soft bait if you will use an hook with barb, because the barb will drag out the mylar net at first de hooking; instead if you will have the patience (I know it's a pain in the ass) to cut the piece of mylar tube in 2 for its lenght and glue them on the inside mold faces, then you wil obtain real scales ... sometimes. Enjoy yourself. Walleyeking, I really appreciate your work. Bye. Cami
  6. Well done. Mylar insert I presume. If yes, do you cut the mylar tube in two pcs. or leave it whole? Bye Cami
  7. If I am not wrong the IMUSA hot plate is an electric burner plate. Directly copied by Pirex site about Pyrex® 2 Cup Measuring Cup : Q: Can this be used directly on a stove top, such as an electric burner? Asked on 10/8/2014 by Marina from Mass Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: No, as with all Pyrex glassware, this measuring cup is not safe for use on a stovetop. Answered on 10/22/2014 by Brett from WKConsumerCare Bye Cami

Great, but perhaps I do not understand: did you pour it in a silicone mold, or did you pour it with silicone raw material? Bye Cami
  11. Have you seen this post http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/31413-homemade-spike-it/ ? Perhaps you can find some inspirations. Bye Cami

  13. I found a 100 ml (around 32 oz) Silicone Measuring Cup really similar to the Norpro 4 cup http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Large-Scale-100ml-to-900ml-High-Temperature-Resistant-Silicone-Liquid-Measuring-Cup-Cream-Measuring-Cup-Kitchen/32605260648.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.1.fhe0I1&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_7,searchweb201602_1_10034_507_10032_10020_10017_10005_10006_10021_10022_10009_10008_10018_10019,searchweb201603_1&btsid=e9721e4a-9446-46de-8228-349c806dc8da I found a really intersting 2 Cup Silicone Collapsible Cup with Plastic Handle (also because it is not more easy to find the Dexas ones) http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Silicone-folding-liquid-measuring-cup/32448859483.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.1.n2Q3nn&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_7,searchweb201602_1_10034_507_10032_10020_10017_10005_10006_10021_10022_10009_10008_10018_10019,searchweb201603_1&btsid=6cec1c22-3e7e-4c71-95a4-a2b7fb93ab0b ...but Bob is asking for a bigger container. Well, what do you think about a Cake Silicone Mould? There are plenty of them with all shapes and dimensions that you prefer to fix your microwave oven. http://shop.silikomart.com/prodotti/3_View.asp?Articolo=&n=2336&np=0&ar_codart=20.180.00.0060&P=SFT%20180 Bye Cami
  14. Dear Guys, what do you think about this recipe http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/gallery/image/14000-replicando-replicante/ This paint grips enough to plastisol to handle the soft bait without peeling off accidents. Till now I have been able only to brush this kind of DIY paint, but I recently discovered that I used the glue tangit in tube (viscosity 5000 mPsa), while I now discovered and bought that one in can that is more liquid (viscosity 15000 mPsa) ... I have to try, but I am pretty sure that a lot of you are already producing and using their own DIY plastisol paint ... just curious to know which ratio you are using. Bye. Cami
  15. Here we all use plasticine, it is easy and it does not react with RTV 2 components silicone. The grey paste is plasticine. Bye. Cami
  16. Dear Curt, I read only now your explaining post. I think to be one of whose that have lose some pictures. I have already written to your Support Team, resending them the 3 pictures. I would like to profit to say that you are doing a really great work: thank you. Bye. Cami
  17. Dave, Jrammit, if you wish to create a 2 piece multi cavity reinforced silicone mold, well here you are the link http://www.bassmaster.it/a_stampoMulti.htm of a tutorial by an Italian guy (I am not the Author) of my Forum. Even if it is written in Italian language I think that the pictures are enough clear to understand all steps, anyway if you need a translation, then please let feel free to ask. About 5° pict., it is only to verify the position of all parts, but hard resin masters have been positioned after the 1st poured silicone side (after 2 hours - pict. 7°). The 2nd wooden tablet has been positioned 1 hour after the 2nd poured silicone side. The most important thing is that between the external box and the tablet there is a clearance of 1 cm. Bye. Cami
  18. Hi Mark, what do you think about these UV glitter http://www.hennings-gummischmiede.de/epages/78042013.sf/de_DE/?ObjectID=43606544&ViewAction=ViewFaceted&FacetValue_CategoryID=43606544 I have not tried them, yet, but they seem to be a great stuff. Bye. Cami
  19. Dear Ben, you are right and Amazon, perhaps, it is wrong: http://www.petersofkensington.com.au/Public/Dexas-Silicone-Measuring-Cup-250ml.aspx Anyway, as I have already said, I am using it from several years ... with plastisol and it works without problems. I asked to Frank what he thinks about it with a frequent use, because I have to suggest it to an Italian Pourer that works every day (instead I pour monthly .. if I can). Bye Cami
  20. ... ehm, really I do worst: I usually wear tempered sunglasses, also during driving and in Europe it is forbidden Bye Cami
  21. Dear Frank, what do you think about Dexas silicone cup (or similar) with a plastic microwaveable handle, please? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dexas-2-Cup-Collapsible-Measuring-Cup/dp/B001QGGN26 I use it from several years, but at same time I pour a very little percentage of times compared to your production, for this reason I would like to know your opinion about its feasibility during a frequent use. Bye Cami
  22. Someone has already tasted them. Bye. Cami
