  1. Thanks guys for the input ! I squirted a little paint around today , tried a few things that I have read about here, and overall had some pretty good results. Thanks again
  2. Just wondering how to know when you have gotten a good heat set? Is there a visual change in the finish, or have you all just done a trial and error with temps and time and know what works?
  3. Any negative effect with painting???
  4. I have used it with what I thought was great success, but the more time I spend here I am finding out I haven't figured out what is good or not I do plan on trying the Devcon2 but I haven't given up on the seal coat either. I do know that if you use more than 1 coat be sure to let the first completely dry before you apply another. And no I have not had any bad effects with plastics.

Thanks for your response, that is what I was afraid I would hear, but not what I was hoping for! I will continue my search and post any results I get. Thanks

    Any Info

Hey all just searching for a little info here. I was wondering if there was a place out there that sells a unpainted lipless crank that is similar to the Salmo chubby darter, or the Lindy darter, type of lure, vertical jigging through the ice is my main intrest. I am in no way ready to start carving my own, while I'm on the subject what about a unpainted version of the Rapala jigging Rap. I have searched the normal places (Janns Lureparts online Barlows ect) No luck any suggestions???

    Fluid Bed

Hey all As they say long time listener first time caller, just wanted to say how much I enjoy this site and all the great info. After reading all the posts about fluid beds I thought I would try my luck at building one, I started out with a 3" to 2" ABS reducer, then cut a plug out of 3/4" plywood to fit in the 3" end, and glued it in place with ABS glue this gave me a large flat base, then a peice of 2" ABS for the cup, with brown paper bag for the filter. I then drilled a 1/2 hole in the base and threaded a 1/4" needle valve into it. For a air supply I used a compressor from the lumbar support for the seat of a Ford minivan, with 1/4" air brake line. I can either use my fish finder battery for a power supply or the AC/DC adapter that I show in my pics. It seems to work great. I have started using a combination powder paint and vinyl through a air brush, Thought I would trow in a pic of my first try at my new set up of fuid bed and air brush. (Remember this is my first trywith the air brush and fluid bed either one) so dont be to hard on me:unsure:
