it's adhesive backed so you just stick them on however you want to arrange it.

Does die cutting or plotting just give individual cut shapes ?,in other words do you end up with scale shape stickers that you apply individually ? If so then I'm not convinced thats how the lee lure above is done, and definitely not how salmos are done. Having said that ,I now want a plotter cutter- oh dear...
You end up with individual ones but you don't apply it individually. You cut the pattern, take out the negative spaces, apply a transfer paper to pull out all the scales into one sheet like i posted and apply it all at once. Very easy to do with great results that painting cannot do. Here's one i did with glow vinyl.

definitely needs release agent. i would also suggest brushing on the bondo first before pouring it in. that way you eliminate as many bubbles as possible.

Been working with a few myself and it has been working great. i make a master mold and cast it in silicone, bondo or two part putty. Have made a few jig heads and a bunch of soft plastic molds. Here's a recent ice fishing one i made.

+1 for Jake @ dakotalakestackle!
jajames16: i would start with the 1.5 and 2.5 square bills
if you are looking for cheap cranks to start painting, i would suggest Jim @ predatorbassbaits.com. He has many more inexpensive cranks for sale. buy whatever you think will look nice and go from there.

looking at the video again, the rear treble didnt kick around like shown in the video. it more-so stayed quite central and didnt move around crazily like shown in the video.(as seen at 5:34 of the video)

didnt see any "hunting" from what i could see when it got back to the boat. all it did was make it swim alot deeper(5-7fow) and give it a less wobble action.

just made some with paper clips and split shot sinkers. trying this out tmrw and will report back!

i had a KO 1.5 clear with d2t and it was in my car for a whole day in 90+ weather and is still perfectly fine.

welcome! show some examples of your work!

Wow Gekhang, those look great!
Keep that broken Rapala and make a replacement lip from 1/8" lexan.
I've replace a number of the Rapala lips. The newer ones aren't supposed to be as brittle.
wish i could keep it. it broke off on the cast and i couldnt find it. =/

suprisingly, this was on spray can too! too bad the lip broke off on the lake..=(

i started off using just spray cans. i sometimes spray on the main base coat, then spray some clear. then spray like a pattern and then sand it off and whatever didnt get sanded off stayed and gave off a nice effect. also, cutting a small hole on paper or shoot through a funnel to narrow your spray patterns allows you to spray paint with more finesse.

ive used something similar, that clouds up after 24 hours in a fish tank and stays like that for 48 hours in a tank with various scratches and bite marks from toothy critters but after a few hours of sitting out of water, the hardness and clarity returns. great thing was that, clear was back to being just as hard with no ill effects with bite marks going all the way through the paint. still use it today and will continue to use it.

i think that's how the blank came. jim @ predatorbassbaits just got some 1.5 in holo transparent and non transparent only in the square bills though.
-
only pointers ive seen are the pointer 100 sold by predatorbassbaits.

its a great way to clear! most people choose to use epoxy due to its price and it being toxic free for the most part. i say if you have unlimited access to it and have the necessary equipment to spray it safely, then by all means use it.

im glad i could be of help.

its golden fluid acrylics. and in that group is the interference series which is what this is from.
-
you mean what kind of golden paints or?...
-
Has anyone used these? its abit thick, but when you thin it down abit its sprayable. I stumbled upon the gold fluid interference series/colors and found it to be an amazing series and no longer need the use of spraying a separate pearl coat during the clearing process. its a white base with pretty much pearls already in them. I bought the interference green and heres what i got.
hard to see it but it really shines very nice and evenly. Despite the $7 per 1oz bottle i think its worth it!

all at once if you like or just press on the areas you want covered. as for grouping, it'd hard to get them any closer and have it cut well. that's why a manufacturer who's initials are LC overlaps theirs.
